Massena, NY

Saint Lawrence - Massena Hospital
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal moment in your career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and elevate patient care in Massena, New York, beginning March 16, 2026. This is more than a travel assignment—it’s a chance to shape outcomes for patients across diverse settings, leveraging your expertise to restore breath, relieve distress, and empower families. As you embark on this journey, imagine the beauty of New York’s landscapes—the rugged Adirondack foothills, the winding St. Lawrence River, the crystalline waters near the Thousand Islands, and the vibrant change of seasons that paint the region with color and life. Beyond Massena, you’ll also have the opportunity to experience a wide network of U.S. locations, enriching your professional repertoire while keeping your clinical skills sharp and broad.
Location benefits begin with Massena’s welcoming community and its access to outdoor adventures that energize both body and mind. You’ll be able to enjoy the charm of a peaceful town while remaining within reach of larger urban centers for culture, dining, and additional professional opportunities. The region provides a balanced backdrop for your clinical excellence—quiet streets, a supportive healthcare network, and the chance to partner with colleagues who value patient-centered respiratory care. And if you ever wish to broaden your horizon, our program offers the flexibility of assignments across multiple locations in the U.S., helping you cultivate a rich, versatile resume while maintaining the support of a trusted employer.
As an RRT in this role, you’ll lead and support comprehensive respiratory care for patients spanning acute and critical needs. Core responsibilities include bedside assessment of respiratory status, ventilator management and weaning, airway clearance techniques, bronchodilator and mucolytic therapies, aerosolized medication administration, chest physiotherapy, sputum induction, and clearance of secretions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. You’ll conduct arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, titrate therapy to evolving clinical demands, and deliver patient and family education to ensure understanding and adherence to treatment plans. The position also calls for meticulous documentation, device troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols to protect patients and staff alike. Through collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other therapists, you’ll drive improvements in outcomes and contribute to the development of best practices within the unit and across the travel program. This role offers meaningful growth in a high-acuity environment, with opportunities to expand your expertise in critical care ventilation, pulmonary rehabilitation principles, and evidence-based respiratory therapies.
Beyond clinical duties, you’ll benefit from a robust package designed to support you as you travel and learn. The compensation starts with a competitive weekly pay range of $2,109 to $2,155, reflecting your experience and scope of responsibilities. In addition, you’ll have access to a sign-on bonus and housing assistance designed to ease relocation and settle you quickly into your new surroundings. Our extended-contract model opens doors for contract extensions, allowing you to deepen your impact and continue your professional trajectory with continuity and confidence. You’ll also enjoy comprehensive, round-the-clock support from a dedicated team that’s available 24/7 to assist with travel logistics, clinical questions, and any on-site needs that arise, so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. The combination of clinical autonomy, supportive supervision, and the chance to collaborate with diverse teams ensures you’ll gain depth in your specialty while building leadership-ready experience.
Our company values your input and your development. We are committed to empowering staff through mentorship, ongoing education, and clear pathways for career advancement within respiratory care and allied specialties. You’ll be supported by a culture that prioritizes a respectful, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment, where your clinical judgment is valued and your ideas for improving patient care are welcomed. Whether you’re pursuing advanced credentials, leadership roles, or specialized certifications, we’ll provide the resources and encouragement to help you reach those goals. This is a workplace that respects your time, recognizes your contributions, and invests in your well-being as you advance your career.
