Hartley, IA
Contracted
Community Memorial Health Center
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care, where your clinical expertise and compassionate care directly shape the daily lives and lasting well-being of residents. This opportunity located in Hartley, Iowa, invites you to bring your best self to a community that values dignity, autonomy, and safety. As you chart your professional path, you’ll begin on January 19, 2026, for a weeks-long assignment with 36 guaranteed hours each week and a highly competitive weekly pay range of $1,688 to $1,800. Beyond the essential hands-on care, you’ll experience the beauty of Iowa’s landscapes—rolling prairies, tranquil lakes, expansive trails, and small-town charm that fosters a balanced, restorative lifestyle outside the workplace.

Hartley offers the best of both worlds: a close-knit Midwestern community that supports its healthcare professionals and a gateway to broader experiences across the United States. The location benefits include reliable housing options and a welcoming environment where teamwork, respect, and professional pride are everyday norms. In addition to serving residents in Hartley, you’ll have the chance to work in varied locations across the U.S., enriching your clinical repertoire with diverse populations, settings, and care challenges. This combination of steady local practice and the prospect of broader exposure means you can grow your skills while enjoying the distinctive benefits of Iowa’s serene, family-friendly regions and the dynamic rhythms of travel nursing.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of comprehensive LTC care. Core responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, implementing and updating individualized care plans, and administering medications with strict adherence to safety protocols. You’ll coordinate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to each resident’s health, mobility, nutrition, and mental well-being. You’ll monitor progress, identify potential risks, and lead evidence-based interventions to prevent falls, infections, and hospitalizations. Wound care, pain management, and palliative considerations will be part of your daily focus, as you document and communicate clearly to the care team. You’ll also mentor and supervise CNAs and aides, fostering a culture of accountability, empathy, and continuous learning. The position offers robust professional development opportunities within the LTC specialty, including exposure to rehabilitative services, complex chronic disease management, and care coordination that enhances residents’ quality of life. To support your success, you’ll have access to 24/7 company support while traveling, ensuring you’re never navigating challenges alone. Additional benefits include housing assistance and a potential for contract extensions based on performance and facility needs, making this a pathway not just to a job, but to a durable career trajectory.

You’ll be joining a company that lives by its values: empowering staff to advance their careers while maintaining a supportive, respectful, and inclusive work environment. The organization is committed to recognizing your contributions, offering mentorship, structured growth opportunities, and ongoing education to keep you at the forefront of LTC best practices. You’ll be part of a team that prioritizes work-life balance, safety, and ethical care, with leadership actively invested in your professional development. This culture of support translates into greater confidence in your capabilities, stronger collaboration with colleagues, and a clearer path to leadership roles as you gain experience across different care settings.
