Travel Physical Therapist Job

Pittsfield, MA
Contracted
Berkshire Medical Center
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal role as a Travel Physical Therapist in Massachusetts, specifically Pittsfield, where your expertise will empower patients to reclaim mobility and independence across a spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a Physical Therapist, your hands-on assessment, personalized treatment plans, and evidence-based exercise programs will transform lives—from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management and wellness promotion. This opportunity blends clinical impact with the freedom to explore a region famed for its natural beauty, vibrant arts scene, and welcoming communities. Massachusetts offers a tapestry of experiences: winding rivers, the Berkshire hills, and a landscape that invites outdoor adventures all year round. In Pittsfield you’ll have easy access to hiking trails, galleries, farmers markets, and a distinctive small-town charm that values health, education, and collaboration. This role invites you to envision meaningful outcomes for patients while enjoying the inspiring backdrop of the Berkshires.

Location benefits: working in Pittsfield positions you at the heart of the Berkshires, where a collaborative healthcare ecosystem supports innovative physical therapy practice and person-centered care. You’ll join a network of clinics and facilities that prize evidence-based approaches, interprofessional teamwork, and ongoing professional development. The area offers cultural and recreational opportunities that enrich your daily life—world-class summer concerts at a nearby venue, museums that celebrate regional heritage, and scenic landscapes perfect for recharging after a productive day. The region’s strong community ties mean you’ll quickly feel connected to the people you serve, with opportunities to deepen relationships with patients and families as you guide them toward durable mobility. For those who relish travel, the position also provides avenues to work in additional Massachusetts locations or other parts of the U.S., expanding your clinical exposure while maintaining a flexible home base in Pittsfield. This blend of local impact and travel experience creates a dynamic platform to grow as a PT, enrich your specialty skill set, and cultivate a broad professional network.

Role specifics and benefits: In this assignment, you will conduct thorough movement and function assessments, design and implement individualized treatment plans, and deliver hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, and assistive device recommendations. You’ll monitor progress, adjust interventions based on outcomes, and document results in electronic health records with precision and timeliness. Collaboration is central—working with physicians, nurses, rehab technicians, and other therapists to ensure cohesive care. You’ll educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and strategies to sustain gains beyond therapy sessions. There is ample room for professional growth within the specialty, including expanding into orthopedics, geriatrics, neuromuscular rehab, or vestibular rehabilitation as you demonstrate impact and leadership potential. We offer a competitive rewards package designed to attract and retain dedicated clinicians: a weekly pay range of $2,560–$2,680, housing assistance, and the possibility of contract extensions that recognize your contributions and reliability. A program of performance incentives and potential sign-on bonuses complements the core compensation, reflecting our commitment to rewarding excellence. The role supports ongoing professional development, with access to mentorship from seasoned therapists, continuing education allowances, and a culture that encourages innovation, inquiry, and evidence-based practice. You’ll also receive robust support from a 24/7 assistance network while traveling with the company, ensuring you have ready help, resources, and guidance whenever you need it. Start date is January 5, 2026, with a duration spanning several weeks to provide flexibility as you ramp up your responsibilities and integrate with the local teams.

Company values: at the heart of our organization is a commitment to empower staff, foster career advancement, and cultivate a supportive, inclusive work environment. We believe great patient care grows from confident clinicians who feel valued, heard, and equipped to pursue continuous learning. You’ll join colleagues who celebrate teamwork, share a passion for optimal patient outcomes, and encourage professional curiosity. Our culture emphasizes transparent communication, mentorship, and opportunities to broaden your scope within physical therapy, ensuring every therapist has a clear path to greater responsibility and greater impact over time.
