Tulare, CA
Contracted
Adventist Health Tulare
Mid Level
Seize a pivotal opportunity to advance your oncology nursing career as a Registered Nurse on a dynamic travel assignment in California, with Tulare at the heart of your experience. This multi‑week role places you on the frontline of cancer care, where expert teams rely on your clinical skill, compassionate communication, and unwavering dedication to patient comfort. Beginning 02/23/2026, you will contribute to a high‑performing oncology unit, delivering evidence‑based therapies, monitoring response, and coordinating care across disciplines. Your impact will touch patients and families in some of the state’s most trusted treatment centers, while you savor the chance to explore California’s diverse landscapes on your days off—from lush valleys to scenic sierras and sunlit coastlines. The work you do will shape survivorship stories and healing journeys, making every shift meaningful and every patient interaction purposeful.
Location benefits are as compelling as the work itself. Tulare sits in California’s Central Valley, offering a welcoming community atmosphere, accessible amenities, and a lifestyle that blends rural charm with modern convenience. You’ll enjoy proximity to outdoor adventures, regional dining experiences, farmers markets, and family‑friendly activities—perfect for decompressing after demanding days at the bedside. You’ll work in a environment that values cutting‑edge oncology practices, supportive administration, and a culture focused on patient‑centered care. And for those who crave variety, the program also provides opportunities to serve in different locations across the United States, exposing you to diverse oncology settings, patient populations, and clinical challenges that broaden your expertise and enhance your professional resilience.
In this role, you’ll manage key responsibilities integral to quality cancer care and continuous clinical growth. Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies according to physician orders; monitor for adverse effects; manage symptoms; and ensure patient safety during infusions and complex treatment plans. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, refine care plans, and document outcomes with precision. Educate patients and families on treatment expectations, potential side effects, nutrition, symptom management, and long‑term survivorship planning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and palliative care specialists—to optimize outcomes and quality of life. This position offers a clear pathway to deepen specialty knowledge, pursue advanced certifications, and pursue leadership or mentorship roles as you demonstrate clinical excellence. The package includes competitive weekly pay in the range of $1,647 to $1,717, housing assistance, and extension opportunities to accommodate your preferred duration. While this assignment does not guarantee hours, you’ll be compensated for actual hours worked on a weekly basis, allowing you to tailor your schedule to patient needs and personal goals, within the framework of the contract.
Our company values empower you to grow while delivering compassionate, high‑quality care. We are committed to your professional development, providing mentorship, ongoing education resources, and a supportive work environment where your voice is heard and your expertise is respected.
