Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

Chico, CA
Contracted
Enloe Medical Center
Mid Level
Embark on a dynamic journey as a traveling Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room in Chico, California, with a start date of December 29, 2025. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to impact patient care in some of the most vibrant surgical teams across the region while exploring Northern California’s welcoming communities. As an OR RN, you’ll bring precision, compassion, and leadership to the heart of the perioperative suite, guiding patients from pre-op through recovery with confidence, expertise, and a patient-centered approach. In Chico, you’ll find a blend of hometown warmth and modern medical collaboration, where your skills help streamline procedures, elevate safety standards, and support surgeons with the highest level of preparation and care.

California is a state of breathtaking contrasts—from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada to the serene Sacramento River and the historic charm of Old Town Chico. You’ll have the chance to experience clean mountain air, outdoor recreation, and festivals that celebrate culture and innovation. When you’re not in the OR, the region offers recreational trails, kayaking on nearby lakes, and scenic drives along the rolling countryside. And if you’re drawn to exploring more of the Golden State, our program makes it possible to rotate through additional California locations or extend your travel to other U.S. destinations, broadening your professional and personal horizons.

Working in Chico gives you access to a supportive, close-knit medical community with strong hospital partnerships and advanced surgical services. You’ll join a team committed to safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient outcomes, while enjoying the benefits of a stable schedule and guaranteed hours. The position offers 40 hours per week with a weekly pay range of $2,855 to $3,049, reflecting your expertise and the responsibilities of contemporary perioperative practice. The program also opens pathways to broader assignments across the U.S., enabling you to broaden clinical exposure, develop cross-specialty competencies, and build a diverse professional portfolio.

In this OR RN role, you’ll function as a credentialed scrub or circulating nurse in a variety of surgical cases—general, orthopedic, neuro, robotics, and beyond—depending on the facility’s needs. Your key responsibilities include patient assessment before anesthesia, meticulous sterile technique, instrumentation setup and turnover, accurate documentation, blood product handling, and active participation in anesthesia and surgeon communication. You’ll monitor patient safety from the moment they enter the OR through recovery, ensuring correct counts, device stewardship, and clean transitions to PACU. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth through specialty training, mentorship, and potential leadership tracks. We offer a competitive compensation package that may include a signing bonus and housing assistance, along with the flexibility of contract extensions based on performance and service needs. You’ll also receive comprehensive support from a dedicated team, including 24/7 assistance while you travel with the company, ensuring you always have access to resources, clinical guidance, and administrative support whenever you need it. Our structure is designed to help you stay focused on patient care while we take care of logistics.

At the core, the organization champions empowering its nurses—recognizing your expertise, celebrating your achievements, and providing clear pathways for career advancement. You’ll work within a collaborative culture that values continuous learning, safety, and underpins well-being with robust onboarding, ongoing education, and performance feedback. The company’s commitment extends beyond the OR, offering a supportive network that respects work-life balance, respect, and professional dignity as you grow across assignments and specialties.

Ready to apply and start a chapter of meaningful impact in the OR? If you’re a qualified OR RN who thrives in dynamic surgical settings, we invite you to join a team that values your skill and dedication.
