Role Specifics and Benefits
As a Travel RN in OB/GYN, you’ll deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic nursing care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and triage for prenatal visits, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and gynecologic procedures.
- Monitoring fetal well-being, conducting sterile technique during deliveries, and assisting in labor support and OR environments when needed.
- Administering medications, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records.
- Providing education on prenatal nutrition, birth plans, lactation, postnatal care, contraception, and wellness strategies.
- Coordinating with obstetricians, midwives, nurses, anesthesia, and social work to optimize outcomes and ensure smooth transitions of care.
