Embark on a pivotal CCU travel nursing opportunity in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where your expertise as a Registered Nurse will shape outcomes in a high-acuity critical care environment. In this CCU role, you’ll deliver lifesaving care for patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions, invasive monitoring, and advanced hemodynamic support, partnering with physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and bedside teams to craft tailored treatment plans. This assignment is not just a shift; it is a chance to elevate your clinical judgment, grow your leadership presence, and mentor newer staff while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. While you advance your career, you’ll also experience the beauty of Massachusetts—four-season beauty, scenic landscapes, and a community that blends small‑town warmth with rich cultural offerings. Pittsfield sits in the scenic Berkshires, offering easy access to nature trails, museums, performing arts, and weekend getaways, making every break a moment to recharge and refocus.

In this CCU RN role, you’ll assume critical responsibilities designed to challenge and develop your practice. You’ll perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor complex hemodynamics, titrate vasoactive medications, manage ventilated patients and arterial/central lines, interpret telemetry and imaging, and participate actively in rounds and care plan development. You’ll lead or contribute to rapid response efforts, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure accurate documentation, and provide education to patients and families. The position offers clear pathways for professional growth within critical care—opportunities to expand your skill set through advanced certifications, mentorship, and involvement in quality improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and continuous learning, with structured onboarding and ongoing clinical support to help you thrive from day one. You’ll also enjoy competitive benefits aligned with a high-demand CCU specialty, including a sign-on or completion bonus, housing assistance, and the chance to extend your contract if you choose.
The compensation package reflects the value of your expertise and the dynamic travel model. Weekly pay is competitive, ranging from $2,215 to $2,356, with the potential for extensions that align with unit needs and your professional goals.
