Role Specifics and Benefits:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician in this role, you will:
- Perform and supervise high-quality routine and specialty laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and special stain workflows, ensuring timely, accurate results. You’ll validate instrument outputs, troubleshoot analyzer flags, and apply quality control procedures to maintain peak performance.
- Prepare specimens, operate and maintain a range of automated analyzers and manual techniques, and ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and documentation in compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal standards.
- Interpret results within established reference ranges, communicate critical values promptly to supervising clinicians, and collaborate with pathologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses.
- Perform routine data entry, maintain meticulous logs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardization, method validation, and instrument maintenance schedules.
- Seek opportunities for professional growth within the specialty, including cross-training in adjacent technologist areas, pursuing additional certifications, and contributing to educational activities for colleagues.
This assignment offers a competitive weekly pay range of $1,815-$1,907, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.
