Role specifics and benefits: As an Oncology RN on this travel assignment, you’ll deliver hands-on care to patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive regimens. Core responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, infusion administration via central or peripheral lines, labs and vitals monitoring, early toxicity recognition, and rapid response when issues arise. You’ll educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, symptom management, nutrition, and adherence, while coordinating with physicians, pharmacists, and social workers to align goals of care. Documentation, safety, infection control, and adherence to evidence-based protocols are daily priorities.
