Portland, OR
Contracted
Adventist Health Portland
Mid Level
Embark on a pivotal journey as an Electrophysiology Technologist, where your expertise translates into life-changing outcomes for patients with complex rhythm disorders. In the heart of Portland, Oregon, and across diverse U.S. healthcare settings, you’ll support electrophysiology procedures that map, diagnose, and treat arrhythmias with precision, compassion, and innovation. This opportunity invites you to apply technical mastery to real-world care, collaborating with physicians and the broader lab team to advance patient safety and procedural success. Beyond the clinical lab, Oregon’s natural beauty awaits: emerald forests, dramatic coastlines, the shadow of Mount Hood, and the vibrant, pedestrian-friendly streets of Portland create a backdrop that nourishes balance and inspiration as you grow professionally. Your work will matter in meaningful ways, and the impact you make will extend beyond the lab walls as you help patients regain rhythm and confidence in daily life.

Portland presents a compelling mix of urban energy and outdoor accessibility. Working here offers access to renowned arts, cuisine, and culture, with the added benefit of close proximity to nature—hiking, cycling along scenic byways, and weekend explorations to the coast or the Cascade peaks. The opportunity to work in various locations across the U.S. further enhances your professional profile, exposing you to a spectrum of EP programs in academic medical centers and community hospitals alike. Each assignment broadens your clinical perspective, sharpened procedural skills, and a robust network of colleagues who share a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You’ll experience different team dynamics, patient populations, and equipment platforms, all contributing to a richer understanding of electrophysiology practice while keeping your professional life dynamic and rewarding.

In this role, you’ll be at the center of EP lab activity. Your responsibilities include assisting with intracardiac mapping and ablation procedures, ensuring sterile technique, and meticulously preparing equipment and patient data. You’ll calibrate and operate advanced mapping systems—such as CARTO or Rhythmia—monitoring real-time electrical signals, adjusting protocols, and supporting post-procedure care and device interrogation as indicated. You’ll manage hemodynamic monitoring, document with precision, and collaborate with EP physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to optimize workflow, safety, and patient outcomes. There is substantial room for professional growth within the specialty, from mastering new mapping technologies to participating in multi-disciplinary quality improvement initiatives. The opportunity to learn from diverse case mixes and to take on leadership responsibilities as you gain expertise will empower you to shape the trajectory of your career.

Our compensation and benefits package is designed to recognize your expertise and commitment. The role offers a competitive weekly pay range of $2,753-$2,806, reflecting the specialized skills you bring to complex rhythm management. We also offer a bonus program designed to reward performance and contributions to patient safety and procedural efficiency. To ease the realities of travel and relocation, we provide comprehensive housing assistance, ensuring you have a comfortable, convenient place to stay during assignments. Extension opportunities are available, allowing you to continue the journey with projects that align with your goals and interests, while maintaining the stability you need to plan long term. In addition, you’ll receive robust support from a 24/7 traveler services team, ensuring you have assistance with scheduling, housing, transportation, and urgent needs at any hour, wherever your assignment takes you. This blend of financial incentives, practical support, and flexible continuation options creates a pathway to sustained career development in a field you are passionate about.

The company behind this opportunity is dedicated to empowering its staff, fostering a culture that values ongoing education, professional advancement, and a supportive, collaborative work environment. You’ll find mentors and peers who champion continuous learning, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate successes together. The organization prioritizes your well-being and professional growth, offering access to continuing education resources, specialty certifications, and the chance to contribute to improvements in patient care pathways. If you’re ready to elevate your practice while enjoying a supportive, inclusive community of colleagues, this is the place to advance.
