Your expertise will directly influence outcomes and elevate the standard of care in welcoming Vermont communities. Starting January 14, 2026, this opportunity offers guaranteed hours and a competitive weekly rate designed to recognize the expertise you bring to the bedside. For this assignment you’ll enjoy a guaranteed 36.0 hours per week, with pay ranging from $1,757 to $1,842 per week, reflecting your skills, experience, and the demand for superb Med Surg care. These weeks can open doors to ongoing engagements across the U.S., allowing you to broaden your professional horizons while delivering meaningful care in diverse settings.

Vermont offers a compelling backdrop for your next assignment. Saint Johnsbury Center combines a supportive, close-knit community atmosphere with access to the region’s natural beauty and outdoor recreation. Vermont’s Green Mountains, pristine lakes, and seasonal vistas provide a rejuvenating backdrop to demanding clinical days, while small-town charm, local dining, and cultural events create a balanced living environment. You’ll have the chance to experience a part of New England that values work-life balance, access to outdoor activities, and a sense of community you won’t want to leave. The role also includes the flexibility to work in various locations across the U.S., broadening your professional footprint and enriching your clinical perspective with different patient populations, facilities, and practice patterns.

Role specifics and benefits begin with your core responsibilities as a Med Surg RN. You will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients, including accurate administration of medications and treatments, ongoing assessment of physiological status, and early identification of clinical changes. You’ll maintain and update meticulous charting, participate in daily rounds with an interdisciplinary team, coordinate care planning with physicians, case managers, and families, and educate patients and caregivers on post-discharge needs. You’ll contribute to discharge planning, safety initiatives, and infection control protocols while ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and rights are upheld at every step. The role supports professional growth within the Med Surg specialty, offering opportunities to refine priorities, manage acutely ill patients, and develop leadership skills as you guide junior staff or new travelers who join your unit. You’ll be encouraged to pursue specialty certification and cross-train in areas such as wound care, high-acuity monitoring, or post-operative recovery, expanding your career trajectory.

The package includes competitive benefits essential for travel success. In addition to the weekly pay mentioned earlier, you may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities to extend your assignment if you wish to deepen your impact in a given facility. You’ll benefit from a robust support structure designed for travel clinicians: 24/7 assistance from our dedicated team while you’re on assignment, helping navigate housing, orientation, credentialing, and any emergent needs with real-time solutions. You’ll also have access to ongoing clinical resources, orientation refreshers, and peer-to-peer support networks to ensure you feel confident and connected wherever your assignment takes you.
