Embark on a transformative journey as an Occupational Therapist in Hawaii, Honolulu, where your clinical expertise reshapes independence, participation, and joy in daily life for clients across the lifespan. In this assignment, you’ll apply evidence-based evaluation and intervention to help people reclaim driving, self-care, school performance, work tasks, and community engagement. Your thoughtful hands, paired with patient and family education, will empower meaningful activity and sustainable outcomes. Beyond the clinician’s room, you’ll be enveloped by Hawaii’s spirit of warmth, resilience, and creativity, inviting you to weave professional purpose with a lifestyle marked by sunlit mornings, azure waters, and sunsets that linger in memory. Picture the balance of high-impact therapy with moments of adventure—snorkeling with sea turtles, hiking volcanic trails, or simply enjoying a sunset luau after a rewarding day of care. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to contribute to lives while embracing the rich culture, landscapes, and rhythms that Hawaii offers.

Location Benefits: Honolulu places you at the crossroads of urban energy and island serenity. You’ll join a dynamic healthcare community that values collaboration, patient-centered planning, and innovative rehabilitation strategies. The setting provides exposure to diverse clinical populations and a spectrum of care environments—from acute care and inpatient rehab to outpatient clinics and community programs—allowing you to broaden your practice and refine assessment skills. In addition to the local advantages, this opportunity may extend to working in select locations across the U.S., broadening your professional horizons while preserving the structure of guaranteed hours. Hawaii’s unique blend of multicultural perspectives, accessible outdoor recreation, and a region renowned for warmth and hospitality enriches your daily experience and professional perspective, helping you connect more deeply with patients and families you serve.

Role Specifics and Benefits: In this role, you’ll assess functional limitations, co-create comprehensive, occupation-focused treatment plans, and implement interventions that restore independence in activities meaningful to each person. You’ll address activities of daily living, work tasks, education access, leisure participation, and community reintegration, tailoring approaches to age, diagnosis, and living setting. You’ll track progress with standardized measures, adjust goals as needed, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams to optimize discharge planning and follow-through at home or in the community. The position supports ongoing professional growth through exposure to a broad spectrum of diagnoses and patient populations, with opportunities to deepen expertise in pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, neurological rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, hand therapy, and adaptive equipment strategies. Highlights include a competitive weekly pay range of 2,283 to 2,491, with guaranteed 40 hours per week and a structured path toward contract extensions that allow you to extend your impact in Hawaii or transition to other settings. Housing assistance is available to ease relocation, and you’ll receive robust support from a dedicated clinical liaison, travel coordinators, and onboarding specialists. Our 24/7 support network ensures travelers have immediate access to guidance, troubleshooting, and resources as you navigate new clinics, schedules, and time zones.
