As an Occupational Therapist on this assignment, you’ll lead comprehensive evaluations and implement targeted interventions that promote independence in daily activities. Your responsibilities will span initial screenings, detailed goal setting, evidence-based treatment planning, and ongoing progress documentation. You’ll design adaptive strategies and select assistive devices to enhance function, safety, and participation in activities such as self-care, community mobility, leisure, and work-related tasks. You’ll coordinate with occupational, physical, and speech-language colleagues, nursing staff, and family members to ensure seamless transitions across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings. You will educate patients and caregivers on home modification, energy conservation techniques, and compensatory strategies, while also championing fall prevention and safety training. Your role includes discharge planning, outcome measurement, and continuous quality improvement, ensuring care is both person-centered and outcome-driven.
