Silver City, NM

Genesis - West Region - Silver City Care Center
Mid Level
Embark on a dynamic journey as a Travel Physical Therapist, bringing specialized care to patients while advancing your expertise in this vital field. In this Physical Therapy role, you will help people regain mobility, reduce pain, and reclaim independence—transforming lives one session at a time. Start date is 02/16/2026, with assignments spanning several weeks, guaranteed 36 hours per week, and meaningful opportunities to grow within the specialty. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to shape outcomes across diverse clinical settings, supported every step of the way by a team that understands the demands and rewards of traveling therapy. And as you explore this opportunity, you can also discover the beauty of New Mexico—where landfalling sunlight meets rugged landscapes, ajal places, and vibrant communities that make every weekend a potential adventure.

Location Benefits: Silver City, New Mexico, offers a welcoming, small-town atmosphere enriched by outdoor recreation and rich cultural heritage. From nearby trails and Gila National Forest vistas to historic plazas and a thriving local arts scene, you’ll find inspiration outside the clinic as well as inside it. Silver City provides a convenient base with access to essential amenities, generous sunshine, and a low-key pace that lets you recharge after rewarding clinical days. For travel therapists who crave variety, there is also the opportunity to work across multiple U.S. locations, expanding your professional network, sharpening adaptable care strategies, and gaining exposure to different patient populations and practice environments. The combination of regional charm and nationwide placement options means you can balance the benefits of a stable assignment with the excitement of exploring new communities.

Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will assess patients’ movement, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and guide rehabilitation to restore function and independence. You’ll conduct comprehensive evaluations, identify barriers to recovery, set realistic short- and long-term goals, and apply evidence-based interventions—from gait and balance training to strength conditioning, manual therapy, and functional mobility activities. Documentation, progress notes, and outcome measures will be central to tracking patient progress and communicating with interdisciplinary teams. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care, adjust treatment plans as patients' needs evolve, and educate patients and families on home programs to reinforce gains. The position offers professional growth within the Physical Therapy specialty, with opportunities to expand skills in complex rehab, pediatrics, geriatrics, or specialty populations as you gain experience across assignments.

The package includes competitive compensation—with weekly pay ranging from $2,314 to $2,386—alongside robust benefits designed for traveling professionals. You will receive housing assistance to ease transitions, and there is potential for housing stipends or extension opportunities based on performance and project needs. The program supports contract extensions, giving you a clear path to additional experiences, continuity of care for patients, and extended exposure to varied practice settings. You’ll enjoy 24/7 support from the company while you travel, ensuring you have reliable resources for clinical questions, scheduling, and any logistical needs that arise on the road. The combination of competitive pay, housing support, and extension pathways makes this role both financially and professionally rewarding, while the structured environment helps you maintain a healthy work–life balance during transitions between assignments.

Company Values: Our organization is dedicated to empowering its staff, prioritizing career advancement and a supportive work environment. You’ll join colleagues who value continuous learning, mentorship, and a collaborative culture that respects diverse clinical perspectives. Whether you’re refining a treatment approach, pursuing specialized certifications, or taking on additional responsibilities, you’ll find a workplace that recognizes your contributions and invests in your professional development. The core focus is on enabling you to deliver exceptional patient care while growing your expertise and advancing your career within a company that honors your dedication and resilience.
