Travel Physical Therapist Job

Ukiah, CA
Contracted
Adventist Health Ukiah Valley
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Physical Therapist in California’s picturesque Ukiah region, beginning December 1, 2025. This weeks-long assignment is your gateway to delivering impactful care while exploring the warmth and resilience of California communities. As you bring mobility and function back to patients, you’ll witness firsthand how purposeful physical therapy accelerates independence, reduces pain, and enhances overall quality of life. In Ukiah and the surrounding Mendocino area, you’ll find a landscape of redwood forests, sparkling rivers, and rolling vineyards that invite exploration, while you shape your professional path in a setting that values evidence-based practice and compassionate, patient-centered care. California’s diverse scenery—from serene state parks to vibrant local art scenes—offers a backdrop that both inspires and refreshes, enriching your experience beyond the clinic walls.

Working in Ukiah combines the charm of a close-knit community with access to robust healthcare resources. Ukiah sits in the heart of wine country, surrounded by scenic drives, outdoor recreation, and welcoming neighborhoods that appreciate skilled clinicians who invest in long-term relationships with patients. For therapists who relish variety, this opportunity can also open doors to placements across the United States, providing exposure to diverse populations and practice settings. You’ll enjoy a favorable balance of professional challenge and personal appeal: collaborative teams, streamlined patient flow, and an environment that respects your expertise and pace. The location is ideal for clinicians who value work–life balance, meaningful patient impact, and the chance to cultivate a regional practice while remaining connected to broader opportunities nationwide.

In this role, you’ll evaluate patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or cardiopulmonary needs; design and implement individualized treatment plans; guide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and functional mobility activities; and track progress toward measurable goals. You’ll document outcomes, communicate with physicians and care teams, and advocate for evidence-based interventions that maximize independence. You’ll lead patient and family education, discharge planning, and home exercise programs, ensuring continuity of care across transitions. The position offers professional growth through mentorship, exposure to diverse etiologies, and opportunities to advance toward senior clinical roles, clinical lead responsibilities, or specialty-focused projects. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to elevate patient outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to program development that broadens access to rehabilitative services. The assignment supports ongoing professional development through training, peer collaboration, and access to the latest clinical guidelines, all while you expand your clinical repertoire in a supportive, patient-first environment.

This opportunity includes a competitive compensation package designed to reward your expertise. You’ll earn a weekly pay rate ranging from $2,471 to $2,588, with a flexible structure that aligns with experience and responsibilities. A welcome bonus recognizes your commitment and expertise, while housing assistance helps ease relocation logistics and living arrangements for the duration of the assignment. Extension opportunities provide pathways to extend your contract, deepen community ties, and continue delivering high-impact therapy in locations that suit your professional interests. The role emphasizes robust support, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated support team as you travel with the company, comprehensive clinical and operational guidance, and streamlined access to resources that keep you focused on patient care rather than logistics. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement planning, and access to professional development resources that reinforce your trajectory as a skilled, confident Physical Therapist.

Our company values empower every clinician to grow within a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous advancement. We’re committed to nurturing your career through mentorship, ongoing education, and opportunities to broaden your scope of practice across settings and specialties. You’ll be part of a supportive network that prioritizes your well-being, recognizes your contributions, and encourages you to lead with compassion and clinical excellence. The environment is collaborative, transparent, and patient-centered, ensuring you have the time, tools, and encouragement to develop—and to contribute your insights to improve care delivery across the program.

Ready to join a company that truly values your contribution and invests in your professional development? Apply now to start a rewarding journey as a Travel Physical Therapist in Ukiah, California, with opportunities to advance, relocate, and make a lasting impact on patients and communities alike.
