Berlin, VT
Contracted
Central Vermont Medical Center - Berlin, VT
Mid Level
Embark on a dynamic journey as a Travel ICU Registered Nurse, bringing life-saving care to patients in the heart of Berlin, Vermont, with opportunities that extend well beyond a single assignment. This is your chance to influence critically ill patients’ outcomes while you explore the beauty and charm of New England. Picture waking to crisp mountain air, fall foliage painting the landscape in gold and crimson, and the quiet strength of Vermont communities that rally around compassion and professionalism. In between shifts, you’ll find time to explore locally acclaimed dining, farmers’ markets, and tranquil waters near Lake Champlain, all while making a meaningful difference in the most demanding unit of the hospital. Our programs also offer the flexibility you want to pursue personal interests and family time, all within a supportive, purpose-driven environment. Start date for this opportunity is 03/16/2026, with contracts spanning several weeks and the potential for extension based on unit needs and your performance. Please note that there are no guaranteed hours in this travel role, but you’ll receive competitive weekly compensation and comprehensive support to make every assignment smooth and rewarding.
Location benefits begin with Berlin, Vermont, a community that blends small-town warmth with convenient access to larger hubs. You’ll enjoy the appeal of living and working within striking distance of the Green Mountains, where hiking, skiing, and scenic drives offer restorative breaks between shifts. Vermont’s waterways, covered bridges, and quintessential New England charm provide a backdrop that refreshes colleagues and patients alike. Working here also means proximity to welcoming neighborhoods, highly regarded schools, and a robust local culture that values health care excellence. For travelers who crave variety, our program also provides the option to take assignments across diverse locations throughout the United States, allowing you to broaden your clinical experience, encounter varied patient populations, and refine your critical care skills alongside expert multidisciplinary teams.
Role specifics and benefits hallmark the ICU nursing experience you bring and the growth you’ll gain. In this role, you’ll deliver round-the-clock critical care to adult patients with complex conditions, managing ventilator support, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid-response interventions in a fast-paced environment. You’ll conduct comprehensive patient assessments, titrate vasoactive drips, interpret arterial and venous blood gases, and collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and wound/infusion teams to execute evidence-based plans of care. You’ll lead or participate in daily rounds, contribute to sofware-guided care protocols, and advocate for patient- and family-centered communication during high-stakes moments. Professional growth is at the core of this opportunity: ongoing access to specialty education, mentorship from seasoned ICU teams, and structured pathways to broaden your scope within critical care. Our compensation package is designed to recognize your expertise and commitment, featuring a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and clear extension opportunities should your goals align with unit needs. You’ll receive weekly pay from $2,258 to $2,421, with modern benefits that emphasize wellness, resilience, and career longevity. While contracts are listed in weeks, we understand the rhythm of travel nursing and will coordinate with you on schedule preferences, shift patterns, and location rotations. Support is never far away: 24/7 assistance from our dedicated travel support team ensures you’re never navigating a challenge alone, whether you’re acclimating to a new unit, managing a critical patient scenario, or coordinating housing logistics. You’ll have access to robust onboarding, clinical resources, and a thorough orientation process designed to integrate you quickly into the ICU’s standards of care and hospital culture.
The company’s values center on empowering you to advance your nursing career while preserving a nurturing, collaborative work environment. We are committed to recognizing clinical excellence, promoting professional development, and fostering a culture where every traveler feels respected, heard, and valued. You’ll be paired with a supportive recruitment and clinical liaison network that helps you align assignments with your goals, supports your certifications, and celebrates your contributions to patient outcomes. The environment is designed to elevate your confidence, encourage peer-to-peer learning, and create lasting professional relationships that persist across assignments and locations.
