Cheraw, SC
Contracted
Capital Care Resources of South Carolina - Cheraw, SC
Mid Level
Step into a mission-driven Travel Physical Therapist role that translates your expertise into tangible improvements in mobility, independence, and quality of life. In this dedicated specialty, you’ll bring precise assessments, thoughtful, evidence-based therapy plans, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations, helping people reclaim confidence in walking, balance, and daily activities. Your impact will extend beyond the clinic walls as you collaborate with local care teams to design individualized rehabilitation strategies that reduce pain, accelerate recovery, and empower patients to return to work, play, and meaningful life moments. Cheraw, South Carolina, with its friendly neighborhoods, scenic parks, and rich local culture, offers a welcoming backdrop for your clinical excellence and personal downtime. The region’s warmth and community spirit create a setting where patient connections feel authentic and your professional contribution is both seen and valued. At the same time, this assignment provides the opportunity to work in various locations across the United States, expanding your clinical repertoire, widening your professional network, and building a versatile portfolio of outpatient, acute, and specialty rehab experiences that bolster your growth as a physical therapist.
Cheraw presents a balanced blend of small-town charm and access to larger metro areas for weekend explorations, cultural events, and new dining experiences. You’ll enjoy a pharmacy, clinics, and hospital partnerships that support robust care pathways, while the surrounding region offers outdoor recreation, historic sites, and scenic drives that make time off restorative and enjoyable. For the adventurous clinician, the travel program opens doors to additional sites across the country, enabling you to broaden your skill set in diverse patient populations and practice environments while maintaining a consistent 40-hour work week and a competitive compensation structure. This combination of meaningful community impact in Cheraw and the broader opportunity to explore different locations ensures your professional development is continuous, dynamic, and personally rewarding. The assignment’s design respects your clinical autonomy while providing a framework of support that helps you thrive wherever you serve.
As a Travel Physical Therapist in this role, you will carry primary responsibility for comprehensive PT evaluations and the development of individualized treatment plans that emphasize functional restoration and patient empowerment. You’ll apply evidence-based interventions including therapeutic exercise progression, manual therapy techniques, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and activity modification strategies tailored to each patient’s goals. You’ll monitor progress, re-assess outcomes, and adjust treatment plans to maximize functional gains, while ensuring rigorous documentation in the electronic health record, compliance with regulatory standards, and clear communication with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. You’ll educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and symptom management, fostering self-efficacy and adherence. Collaboration will be a cornerstone—working closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and social work to coordinate care transitions and discharge planning. The role offers pathways for professional growth, including access to specialty certifications, mentorship from experienced clinicians, and potential leadership opportunities within clinics or regional networks as you prove your efficacy across settings. In addition to clinical responsibilities, you’ll be encouraged to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in continuing education opportunities, and share best practices with peers to elevate care standards across the program.
This position provides a compelling package designed to attract and retain top PT talent: a competitive weekly pay range of $2,466 to $2,581, with guaranteed hours at 40 per week, and a start date of February 23, 2026 for a duration spanning several weeks. You’ll benefit from a generous housing assistance program to reduce relocation stress and help you settle quickly into comfort and focus, plus a bonus structure tied to performance and program milestones that recognizes your clinical impact and commitment. We also support extension opportunities so you can continue your assignment if you’re enjoying the site and the team, or transition to another location that aligns with your career goals. Comprehensive 24/7 support from our dedicated travel team is available to assist with scheduling, licensing, onboarding, housing, and day-to-day coordination, ensuring you always have a reliable partner on the road as you deliver exceptional patient care.
Our company values center on empowering staff to advance their careers within a supportive, collaborative, and patient-first environment.
