This is your opportunity to influence recovery, optimize care plans, and empower patients and families with knowledge, dignity, and hope. Each shift is a chance to elevate standard practice, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and showcase the resilience and professionalism that define Med Surg nursing. Start date for this assignment is 03/31/2026, for a multi‑week engagement that offers consistent hours and meaningful continuity of care. And as you plan your next chapter, imagine the beauty of California—the sweeping Sierra ridges, tranquil lakes, and dramatic coastline—complementing your professional growth with unforgettable, real-world experiences. In Quincy, you’ll find a welcoming community framed by forests and lakes, a place where outdoor adventures are as accessible as excellent clinical care.
Location Benefits: This assignment is anchored in Quincy, CA, a gateway to northern California’s natural wonders and a respite from the bustle of larger cities. Working here means enjoying a calm, community-oriented atmosphere that values patient-centered care and work‑life balance. You’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in California’s renowned outdoor offerings—hiking in the surrounding forests, fishing and boating at pristine lakes, and exploring nearby national and state parks during well-earned days off. And because our travel programs span multiple locations across the United States, you’ll also have opportunities to experience a variety of urban and rural settings, expanding your clinical horizons while building a robust, portable skill set. The role includes guaranteed hours of 36 per week, with weekly pay in the range of $1,746 to $1,865, and a route to potential extensions that reward consistency, reliability, and clinical excellence. Housing assistance is provided to ease relocation and daily life on assignment, enabling you to focus on delivering top-tier patient care. Beyond the city lights and scenic vistas, you’ll gain access to a network of colleagues and a support system designed to help you thrive wherever your travels take you.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Travel RN in Medical-Surgical care, you will assess patient needs, implement evidence-based care plans, administer medications and therapies, manage IV access and fluid balance, monitor clinical status, and respond swiftly to changes in condition. You’ll perform comprehensive post‑op and medical admissions and discharges, coordinate with physicians, case managers, and families, and provide clear education on treatments, medications, wound care, and self-management to promote safe transitions home. Your scope includes prioritizing patient safety, reducing length of stay where appropriate, and contributing to unit efficiency through accurate documentation and proactive communication. This placement offers ample opportunities for professional growth: expand specialty certifications, participate in unit-based quality improvement projects, and receive mentorship and structured onboarding designed for travel nurses entering new environments. Employers recognize performance with a competitive bonus structure, and we support your relocation with housing stipends or direct housing assistance to ease transitions. In addition, there are extension opportunities designed to reward your adaptability and the value you bring to the unit, with possibilities for longer assignments that align with your career goals. Our program delivers comprehensive, 24/7 support while you travel with the company, including access to a dedicated traveler care team, nurse liaison specialists, and rapid assistance for any logistical or clinical needs. You’ll benefit from a robust clinical support network, including access to urgent resources, credentialing help, and scheduled check-ins to ensure comfort and success across assignments.
