Holyoke, MA

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center
Mid Level
Seize a transformative opportunity as a Registered Nurse — Psychiatric (Psych) in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where your clinical compassion and steadfast expertise can shape stability and hope for individuals navigating behavioral health challenges. This weeks-long assignment begins on 01/12/2026, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and a competitive weekly pay range of $2,285 to $2,388. The role is designed for ongoing extension opportunities, recognizing your dedication and impact in a field that blends urgent care with long-term therapeutic relationships. As you bring crisis intervention skills, compassionate communication, and a patient-centered approach to the unit, you’ll collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers to deliver holistic care across diverse ages and backgrounds. Expect growth through specialty training, exposure to evidence-based practices, and a clear path to advance within a supportive, mission-driven organization.
Location Benefits: Holyoke sits in the scenic Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, a community where historic mill architecture meets vibrant modern life. You’ll enjoy easy access to parks, the Connecticut River, and a wealth of cultural offerings—from local theaters to museums and festivals—creating a balanced environment that supports well-being as you care for others. The region’s seasonal beauty—lush summers, brilliant fall foliage, and easy drives to nearby rural and urban hubs—adds a refreshing backdrop to your professional journey. Beyond Holyoke, the opportunity exists to work in other U.S. locations, broadening your clinical exposure and enabling you to experience hospital cultures across states. Our robust relocation and housing assistance, along with streamlined credentialing support, makes it feasible to explore new communities while maintaining continuity of patient care. This variety can enrich your clinical perspective, sharpen decision-making, and expand your professional network in meaningful ways.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Psych RN, you’ll conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, monitor acute and chronic psychiatric conditions, implement individualized treatment plans, administer and adjust medications under protocol, and document clinical findings with precision. You’ll monitor safety, perform de-escalation and crisis stabilization when needed, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions of care from admission through discharge. Your responsibilities will include therapeutic communication, risk assessments, suicide and danger-risk screening, and education for patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and community resources. You’ll leverage trauma-informed care principles, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, and a patient- and family-centered lens to support recovery and resilience. The position offers substantial room for professional growth: access to specialty certifications, ongoing education, and structured mentorship designed to help you advance within psychiatric nursing.
In addition to competitive compensation, the package features a signing or performance bonus where applicable, sustainable housing assistance to ease relocation, and meaningful extension opportunities that allow you to deepen your clinical competence and build enduring relationships with patients and facilities. Our travel program emphasizes seamless operations so you can focus on patient care rather than logistics. You’ll receive 24/7 support while traveling with the company, including on-call clinical consultants, operational guidance from local coordinators, and proactive assistance with credentialing, scheduling, and housing logistics. You’ll also benefit from centralized resources for electronic health record navigation, standardized discharge planning tools, and access to hospital-specific orientation to accelerate your integration into new teams. The program is designed to balance autonomy with collaboration, ensuring you always have a trusted partner as you navigate different hospital cultures and patient populations.
