Step into the MICU as a Registered Nurse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where your clinical mastery meets a city known for resilience, history, and vibrant neighborhoods. This specialized travel assignment invites you to impact critically ill patients at the intersection of compassionate care and advanced medicine. In the MICU, your keen assessment, rapid decision-making, and deft hands will guide patients through complex trajectories toward stability and recovery. If you crave professional growth, teamwork, and the exhilaration of making every shift count, this is your moment. And, as you explore the Keystone State, you’ll discover not only life-saving work but also a state filled with natural beauty—from the rolling hills of the countryside to lively urban vistas—an ideal backdrop for your next chapter as a healthcare traveler.

Working in Philadelphia puts you at the heart of a region rich in culture and opportunity. You’ll join renowned hospitals that champion evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration. When you’re not on the unit, you can stroll the historic streets of Old City, savor world-class dining, and cheer on local teams, all while benefiting from a cost of living that supports a comfortable lifestyle. For those who relish variety, there’s the possibility to travel to other U.S. locations through our network, expanding your clinical exposure and professional network. Pennsylvania’s landscapes—triangular woods, rivers, and the celebrated Pocono region within easy reach—offer weekend escapes that refresh and recharge before your next assignment.

As a MICU RN on this assignment, you’ll monitor critically ill adults and perform comprehensive neuro, hemodynamic, and respiratory assessments. You’ll manage ventilated patients, collaborate with intensivists and bedside teams, titrate vasoactive infusions, interpret labs, and respond to rapid changes with calm leadership. You’ll document, coordinate, and communicate with families during challenging moments, ensuring clarity and compassion. With an emphasis on safe documentation, infection prevention, and patient advocacy, you’ll develop your expertise in complex support modalities and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. The role includes a competitive compensation package with a weekly pay range of $2,221 to $2,298, based on experience and assignment specifics, and a guaranteed 36 hours per week. An initial 13-week rotation may be offered with extension opportunities to align with staffing needs and your career goals. We recognize your trial-ready skill set and offer a generous sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and seamless extension options to keep you in a steady rhythm of growth. Our program emphasizes continuity of care and a supportive learning environment, with 24/7 assistance available while you travel with the company, ensuring you’re never alone on the road. You’ll receive orientation to the facility and regional practices, mentorship from seasoned MICU nurses, and access to clinical resources that help you deliver best-in-class critical care. Safety, teamwork, and patient outcomes sit at the core of every shift, and you’ll be empowered to contribute ideas that improve care pathways and patient experiences.

Our organization is built on a culture that empowers every nurse to advance their career with confidence. We invest in your development through structured onboarding, competency assessments, and ongoing education. You’ll be part of a supportive network where experienced leaders mentor new practitioners, peers share knowledge, and your voice influences practice standards.
