Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Atlanta, GA
Contracted
Grady Memorial Hospital
Mid Level
Step into a high-impact role as a Registered Nurse, Med Surg, in Georgia’s dynamic healthcare ecosystem, with a February 16, 2026 start on a weeks-long contract designed to accelerate your professional growth while enriching patient care. In Med Surg, your expertise will be the backbone of compassionate, evidence-based nursing as you manage complex cases, coordinate comprehensive care plans, and mentor less experienced teammates. Atlanta’s vibrant metro area serves as your launchpad, offering access to leading hospitals, innovative specialties, and a network of like-minded professionals. And beyond the city, Georgia’s diverse communities invite you to experience a blend of urban energy and southern hospitality. Separately, you can discover the state’s beauty—historic Savannah’s charm, the misty Blue Ridge and the North Georgia mountains, sparkling lakes, and welcoming town squares.

Location Benefits: Working in Atlanta means immersion in a premier healthcare hub with cutting edge technology, robust continuing education, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. You’ll support patients from emergent to post-acute stages, rotate through units, and build proficiency across a spectrum of diagnoses. The role also offers flexibility to work across Georgia and the U.S., expanding your clinical horizons while you maintain a stable base. Enjoy the conveniences of city living—world-class dining, cultural events, professional associations, and easy access to major transport hubs for quick weekend getaways or planned explorations.

Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Med Surg RN, you’ll deliver holistic, patient-centered care—assessing conditions, planning and implementing interventions, administering medications, monitoring vitals, and coordinating discharge planning. You’ll collaborate with physicians, resident physicians, PAs, pharmacists, and case managers to optimize outcomes for adults facing acute and chronic illnesses. You’ll document thoroughly, adhere to safety and quality standards, participate in rounds, and support family education. The role offers clear pathways for advancement within Med Surg through specialty certification prep, mentorship, and cross-training opportunities in areas such as wound care, oncology care, telemetry, and critical care stepping-stones. Competitive compensation includes a weekly pay range of $1,474–$1,548, plus a possible incentive bonus and comprehensive housing assistance. You’ll benefit from guaranteed hours at 36 per week, job security, and the chance to extend contracts to fit your career plans. A key differentiator is our robust support network: 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, a dedicated travel nurse liaison, and rapid access to credentialing, payroll, and clinical education resources. You’ll also be paired with a clinician mentor who understands the Med Surg pathway and can guide you toward professional milestones. Our program emphasizes safety, well-being, and skill development, with structured onboarding, ongoing clinical updates, and access to simulation labs to refine technique before patient contact.

Company Values: Our organization is built on empowering staff to grow, learn, and lead. We invest in your career through targeted advancement tracks, scholarships for specialty certifications, and opportunities to contribute to quality improvement projects, research, and patient advocacy initiatives. We cultivate a supportive, inclusive environment where experiences are shared, colleagues uplift one another, and patient-centered care remains the core mission. When you join, you’re joining a network that values your voice, respects your expertise, and celebrates your progress as you move forward in a sustainable nursing career.
