Ukiah, CA

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley
Mid Level
Step into a dynamic Travel Physical Therapist role that centers your expertise in support, growth, and meaningful patient impact. Based in Ukiah, California, this opportunity invites you to channel your clinical skills into a role that travels with purpose—bringing high-quality physical therapy to diverse settings while advancing your career across a wide network of facilities. Picture yourself guiding patients through restorative journeys, translating assessments into actionable plans, and watching people regain strength, independence, and confidence. This is more than a position; it’s a chance to shape outcomes, elevate practice standards, and experience the beauty of California and beyond as you work across varied environments. From the shimmering mornings in Ukiah to the sweeping vistas of Northern California, you’ll discover a state that rewards curiosity, resilience, and the joy of helping others thrive.

California’s landscape is a invitation to explore as you work. Ukiah sits in a region known for lush vineyards, scenic valleys, and access to outdoor adventures that feed your well-being and fuel your empathy for patients facing mobility challenges. You’ll enjoy a balanced rhythm—intense, rewarding clinical days paired with weekends that invite hiking, wine-tasting, coastal excursions, or quiet moments in redwood groves. The opportunity to work across multiple U.S. locations during your travel assignments expands your professional horizons while grounding you in a community that values collaborative care and patient-centered outcomes.

As a Travel Physical Therapist in this role, you’ll bring patient-centered ambulatory and rehabilitative care to a spectrum of clinical settings. Your core responsibilities will include comprehensive patient evaluations, determination of functional goals, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, and timely reassessment to measure progress. You’ll deliver evidence-based therapies—manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, gait training, and functional assessments—while maintaining meticulous documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and communicating progress with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. The role offers opportunities to grow within your specialty through exposure to diverse case mixes, advanced evaluation techniques, and mentorship from seasoned clinicians. You’ll have the chance to expand expertise in areas such as balance and fall prevention, pediatrics, orthopedics, or neuro rehab, depending on site needs and your interests. The travel component means embracing flexibility, coordinating efficient handoffs, and fostering strong professional relationships with facilities across the network. An additional benefit is the chance to participate in extended contracts, aligning your schedule with personal and professional goals, while enjoying stable, consistent weekly compensation during eligible assignments.

Our benefits package is designed to recognize your expertise and support your life as a traveling clinician. You’ll receive competitive weekly pay, typically between $2,403 and $2,577, with the understanding that this range is an estimate and may vary by assignment, location, and shift structure. A sign-on or performance bonus may be available to acknowledge your impact and commitment. Housing assistance is provided to ease transition between sites, with options tailored to your preferences and needs. There are extension opportunities at each assignment, allowing you to continue contributing where you’re making a difference and to further develop your professional relationships within the network. In addition, you’ll have access to robust support beyond the clinic: 24/7 assistance from our dedicated travel support team, relocation guidance, and ongoing access to continuing education resources. Our systematic onboarding and mentorship ensure you’re integrated smoothly, with clear expectations and a strong foundation for success as you navigate a portfolio of facilities.

The company’s values are woven into every aspect of the work environment. We are committed to empowering clinicians to grow within their specialty, take ownership of their career trajectory, and thrive within a collaborative, supportive culture. You’ll find an emphasis on professional development, constructive feedback, and opportunities to assume leadership roles within teams. The environment is designed to celebrate diverse backgrounds, encourage curiosity, and foster a sense of belonging, with a shared mission to deliver compassionate care, improve patient outcomes, and uphold clinical excellence across all placements.
