Role Specifics and Benefits:
- Primary responsibilities: triage and clinical assessment of ED patients; rapid activation of code and trauma protocols; monitoring, admissions, disposition planning; execution of evidence-based interventions; documentation in electronic health records; collaboration with interdisciplinary teams; patient and family communication under stress; continuous quality improvement and adherence to safety standards.
- Growth and specialization: expand ER nursing competencies across adult and pediatric populations, sharpen airway management and critical care skills, and develop leadership readiness for charge nurse or preceptor roles in future rotations.
