Job Description:

TLC Nursing is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a travel contract basis. As an SLP in an educational setting, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students. This position offers the flexibility to work in multiple states, providing invaluable services to children who need specialized support to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
• Develop individualized treatment plans (IEPs) to meet students' unique needs.
• Provide direct therapy sessions and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to integrate speech therapy into the classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatment plans and student progress.
• Utilize innovative and engaging therapy techniques to enhance learning and communication skills.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for school-based therapy services.
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support speech and language development at home.

Requirements:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology License from the CBOE (Certification Board for Educators) in the respective state(s).
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred but not required).
• Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educators.
• Ability to work independently while being adaptable to different school environments.
