Travel Occupational Therapist Job

Laconia, NH
Contracted
Laconia Rehab Ctr
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as an Occupational Therapist in the picturesque Lakes Region of New Hampshire, with a dedicated travel assignment that empowers you to make a lasting impact on clients’ daily lives. This is your opportunity to blend clinical excellence with the joy of helping people reclaim independence, all while exploring the scenic beauty of NH. From tranquil mornings by Lake Winnipesaukee to vibrant autumn hues painting the White Mountains, New Hampshire offers an inspiring backdrop for professional growth and personal discovery. Laconia sits at the heart of the Lakes Region, a welcoming community where outdoor recreation, cultural events, quaint shops, and fine dining harmonize with a supportive healthcare network.

Location benefits extend beyond your immediate assignment. You’ll experience the charm of Laconia, with easy access to recreational boating on the lake, hiking in nearby state parks, and a thriving downtown scene. There’s also the opportunity to work at additional locations across the U.S. through our established network, broadening your clinical exposure and enhancing your professional portfolio. Our travel assignments are designed to honor work-life balance, with predictable schedules in communities that value your expertise. When you’re not in a patient room, you can enjoy the region’s seasonal festivals, farmers’ markets, and scenic drives along winding rivers and mountain passes. For those drawn to broader horizons, relocation flexibility and placement across diverse settings equip you to refine your specialty while enriching your personal experiences.

Role specifics and benefits. You’ll join a dynamic interdisciplinary team, applying advanced occupational therapy principles to support activities of daily living, instrumental tasks, sensory processing, cognition, fine and gross motor skills, and community reintegration. Key responsibilities include comprehensive patient evaluations, goal setting aligned with individual life roles, development and implementation of evidence-based OT treatment plans, progress monitoring, and timely documentation to ensure optimal outcomes. You’ll tailor interventions to adults, adolescents, or specialized populations as needed, collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and social work to coordinate holistic care. You’ll educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and safety strategies to maximize independence at home and in the community. Through regular case reviews and reflective practice, you’ll continually refine your approach, expanding your clinical expertise in neurorehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics, or hand therapy depending on patient needs and your interests.

Your professional growth is supported through structured pathways that encourage mastery of your OT specialty. Expect opportunities for mentorship, access to continuing education resources, and the chance to pursue areas of specialty interest within the scope of travel assignments. The position offers a competitive financial package, including a sign-on bonus where applicable, housing assistance to ease transition, and the chance to extend your assignment beyond the initial period if you choose. The role also includes guaranteed hours, with a consistent 35.0 hours per week, providing stability in a travel environment. Weekly pay ranges from $1,605 to $1,732, reflecting experience, location, and shift patterns. Start date is 02/23/2026, with a weeks-long assignment that can lead to subsequent extensions based on performance and project demand. A robust support system accompanies you: 24/7 assistance while traveling with our company, dedicated onboarding, and a field support team that checks in to ensure you have what you need to thrive.

Company values. Our organization is committed to empowering staff, fostering career advancement, and cultivating a supportive work environment where clinical leadership and compassionate care go hand in hand.
