Travel Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele in Berlin, Vermont, starting 03/30/2026. This is your invitation to elevate patient care on a dynamic Med Surg Tele assignment designed for skilled RNs who lead with expertise, compassion, and a collaborative spirit. Picture yourself delivering high-quality telemetry-guided care for adults across acute and post-acute pathways, coordinating complex plans of care, and empowering patients and families at every transition. Each shift is an opportunity to influence recovery trajectories, refine clinical judgment, and mentor peers while applying evidence-based practices that keep patients safe, comfortable, and informed. Beyond the bedside, you’ll contribute to a culture that values curiosity, resilience, and continuous learning, with a clear path to broaden your scope within the Med Surg Tele specialty. When you’re ready for a change of scenery, this travel opportunity also opens doors to assignments across the United States, offering diverse clinical settings that broaden your professional horizons and deepen your expertise.
Vermont’s natural beauty is the backdrop for your professional journey. Berlin sits in a state famed for rolling green mountains, pristine forests, and four distinct seasons. In your time off, you can revel in the vibrant fall foliage, hike the trails that weave through the Green Mountains, or enjoy winter days on nearby slopes. Vermont’s towns offer safe, walkable communities, access to outdoor recreation, and a welcoming pace that complements the demanding pace of acute care nursing. The region’s blend of small-town charm and proximity to larger hubs provides the chance to experience both tight-knit community life and occasional urban outings. And for travel nurses seeking variety, the program welcomes you to explore assignments across the U.S., delivering diverse patient populations, hospital cultures, and care models that sharpen proficiency and adaptability.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive Med Surg Tele coverage that encompasses adult inpatient care with telemetry monitoring, medication administration, IV therapies, wound and ostomy care, infection control, and perioperative or postanesthesia support as needed. Key responsibilities include accurate assessment and documentation of patient status; timely escalation of concerns to the medical team; development and communication of individualized care plans; essential patient and family education; discharge planning and coordination with home health or community resources; effective handoffs during shift changes; and adherence to unit protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll collaborate with physicians, midlevel providers, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate care across rotating teams, ensuring smooth transitions from admission through stabilization and recovery. The role also offers opportunities to advance practice within the Med Surg Tele track, participate in process improvement initiatives, and pursue additional certifications or specialty training aligned with your career goals. You’ll find a supportive environment where mentorship, peer learning, and structured growth pathways help you expand clinical competencies, enhance leadership potential, and prepare you for expanded roles in telemetry, case management, or unit leadership.
The compensation package reflects a competitive travel program designed to attract top talent. The assigned shifts come with weekly pay in the range of $2,363 to $2,386, with the potential for enhancements through bonuses and extension opportunities. Housing assistance is provided to ease transition and maintain financial stability, while options to extend your assignment at favorable terms support ongoing professional development and continuity of care for patients. A robust support framework accompanies you on every assignment, including 24/7 support from the company’s travel team, access to credentialing and compliance assistance, seamless onboarding, and concierge services designed to remove logistical barriers so you can focus on optimal patient outcomes. When you encounter clinical questions, staffing gaps, or travel concerns, a dedicated support network is ready to respond promptly, ensuring you never navigate on your own.
At the core, the company is devoted to empowering its nursing staff. You’ll find a culture that prioritizes career advancement, values your voice, and fosters a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive work environment. Leadership supports professional growth through regular feedback, access to education resources, leadership development programs, and opportunities to broaden your clinical footprint within the Med Surg Tele discipline. The organization believes in recognizing excellence, rewarding dedication, and building lasting, supportive relationships with nurses who drive quality patient care. You’ll join a team that celebrates achievements, learns from challenges, and remains steadfast in advancing patient outcomes while investing in your long-term success and well-being.
