- Core responsibilities: Prepare sterile fields and surgical trays; assist the surgical team with instrument handling, specimen management, and equipment setup; maintain strict sterile technique and infection control practices; support anesthesia staff with patient positioning and timely supply delivery; participate in accurate instrument counts and room turnover to ensure readiness for the next case; communicate clearly with team members to anticipate needs and prevent delays; ensure documentation aligns with perioperative standards and facility policies.
