- Key responsibilities: Perform decontamination, sterilization, inspection, assembly, and packaging of instruments; operate and monitor sterilizers, washers, and related equipment; accurately track instrumentation through intake, processing, and distribution; maintain sterile processing areas in compliance with AAMI/ISO standards and infection control guidelines; document processing cycles, quality checks, and issue resolution; collaborate with OR teams, nurses, and surgeons to ensure timely instrument availability; participate in routine maintenance, recalls, and inventory control; pursue ongoing competency development and cross-training opportunities to broaden your technical proficiency.
