Monterey, CA
Contracted
Cypress Ridge Care Center
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Speech Language Pathologist in Monterey, California, where every assessment, plan, and therapy session catalyzes meaningful communication for patients of all ages. In this specialty-focused assignment, you will translate evidence-based practice into practical, compassionate care, guiding children as they find their voice, supporting adults reclaiming communication after illness, and partnering with families and care teams to celebrate progress. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to shape lives and to grow your expertise in a vibrant, coastal community. And as you serve, you can savor California’s famed beauty: sunlit beaches along the Monterey coast, the iconic Cannery Row, world-class seafood, the tranquil trails of Point Lobos, and the dramatic vistas of nearby Big Sur—offering moments of respite after impactful days.

Location benefits: Monterey offers a unique blend of professional opportunity and coastal quality of life. You’ll work in a setting known for collaborative teams, access to resources, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with mild seasons and easy access to outdoor recreation. The role also includes the flexibility of assignment options across multiple U.S. locations, enabling you to experience diverse clinical environments, from school-based settings to hospital-based rehabilitation, while maintaining a base in the stunning Central Coast. Embrace the chance to rotate through different communities, expanding your professional network and enhancing your repertoire of evidence-based strategies, all while enjoying the region’s seafood, arts scene, and scenic drives along the coastline.

In this role, the responsibilities center on comprehensive speech language pathology services. You will conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations, interpret results, and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with best practice guidelines. You will provide direct therapy to pediatric and adult populations, implementing speech, language, fluency, voice, cognitive-communication, and feeding interventions as appropriate. You’ll document progress for each patient with clarity and precision, communicate findings and recommendations to families, educators, and physicians, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes. You’ll monitor progress, adjust goals as needed, and ensure smooth transitions for clients as they move through plan of care. There’s ample room for professional growth, including opportunities to specialize in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), pediatric feeding, dysphagia management, or adult cognitive-communication rehabilitation, with access to continuing education, mentorship, and potential certifications.

We offer competitive benefits designed to attract top talent in our field. In addition to a competitive weekly pay range of $2,061 to $2,196, the assignment provides a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation. The duration is several weeks, with guaranteed hours of 38.0 per week, and the potential for contract extensions or ongoing opportunities based on performance and service demand. This role includes robust support structures: a dedicated clinical liaison, travel coordinators, and 24/7 on-call support while you’re traveling with the company, ensuring you’re never navigating challenges alone. You’ll have access to comprehensive onboarding, timely credentialing assistance, and a welcoming, professional environment that prioritizes your comfort and success on the road.
