As a Dialysis RN on this assignment, you’ll perform comprehensive dialysis care across hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis modalities. Your responsibilities include patient assessment before, during, and after treatments; monitoring hemodynamics, fluid management, and anticoagulation; programming and troubleshooting dialysis machines; initiating and terminating cycles with precision; coordinating care plans with nephrology, social work, and nutrition; educating patients and families about treatment options, self-care strategies, and lifestyle adaptations; and maintaining meticulous charting in alignment with regulatory and facility standards. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior staff, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to optimization of port and catheter care, vascular access surveillance, and infection control practices.
