Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse in Med Surg in North Adams, Massachusetts, where your clinical expertise meets the chance to impact lives in meaningful, tangible ways. This is a role built for nurses who thrive on fast-paced medical-surgical care, rapid assessment, and collaborative problem-solving. You’ll join a compassionate team dedicated to safety, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement, delivering care that supports patients and families through every phase of recovery. North Adams offers more than a work setting—it provides a gateway to the Berkshires’ natural beauty, vibrant arts, and a sense of community that makes every shift feel purposeful. Picture mornings spent on the edge of the Hoosac Range, afternoons coordinating care for acutely ill patients, and evenings exploring drip-lit streets, galleries, and quiet parks that define life in this charming New England town.

In North Adams, you’ll enjoy the benefits of a welcoming, community-focused environment with access to strong clinical leadership and robust hospital resources. Massachusetts’s blend of historic charm and modern healthcare creates a rich context for learning and growth. The region’s outdoor recreation—from hiking and skiing to fall foliage drives—offers restorative balance after demanding shifts. For nurses who crave variety, this assignment also presents opportunities to rotate through other locations across the U.S., exposing you to diverse patient populations, acuity levels, and hospital cultures. That breadth of experience will sharpen clinical judgment, refine technical skills, and broaden your professional network, all while strengthening your resume and expanding your leadership potential.

As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you’ll deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across a spectrum of medical and surgical conditions. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing thorough initial assessments and ongoing reassessments, interpreting data to update care plans, administering medications and therapies, monitoring responses, and promptly escalating concerns. You’ll coordinate with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and rehabilitation teams to ensure seamless transitions—from admission to discharge—and you’ll educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, warning signs, and self-management strategies. You’ll care for post-surgical patients, manage complex chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies with poise and clinical precision. The role invites you to advance within the Med Surg specialty—expanding skills in telemetry monitoring, wound and ostomy care, infusion therapy, pain management, and evidence-based discharge planning. You’ll also contribute to quality improvement initiatives, help implement new protocols, and share your insights with a supportive, interdisciplinary team.

We offer competitive benefits designed to support you throughout your journey. The weekly pay range of $2,533 to $2,697 reflects the high level of responsibility and skill you bring to the unit. A sign-on bonus is available, along with comprehensive housing assistance to simplify relocation and comfortable lodging during your assignment. In addition to the base compensation, there are extension opportunities that recognize your performance, reliability, and fit with the team, providing a clear path for continued engagement. You’ll receive 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team, including credentialing assistance, housing logistics, shift coordination, and immediate access to clinical and administrative help as you travel. Our program also emphasizes ongoing education and professional development, with access to continuing education funds, mentorship, and opportunities to participate in departmental projects that advance patient care.

Our commitment to you goes beyond the clock. We empower nursing professionals with clear career pathways, leadership exposure, and a culture built on respect, collaboration, and safety.
