Key responsibilities include direct psychiatric nursing care on acute and subacute units, crisis assessment and intervention, medication administration and reconciliation, safety monitoring, de-escalation, patient and family education, and collaborative discharge planning. You’ll participate in care planning with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers, document thoroughly in electronic records, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
