In this specialty, you’ll blend clinical expertise with compassionate guidance to help patients recover function after injury, surgery, or trauma, and to maintain peak performance in daily life. As you travel and adapt to diverse clinical settings, your impact will be tangible—from restoring a confident gait after injury to unlocking a patient’s ability to return to hobbies they love. California’s Bay Area offers more than work; it presents a lifestyle embedded in innovation, culture, and natural beauty. Picture mornings along the waterfront, afternoons exploring rolling hills or redwood forests, and evenings sampling world-class cuisine in a climate that encourages outdoor activity year-round. Location Benefits: Based in Oakland, you’ll be immersed in a thriving healthcare corridor renowned for patient diversity, cutting-edge practice, and collaborative care teams. The role also opens opportunities to work across different locations within California and across the United States, inviting exposure to varied patient populations, clinic workflows, and regional care standards. Oakland’s proximity to San Francisco offers rich professional networking, continuing education possibilities, and access to academic centers, community hospitals, and specialty clinics. The city’s mild climate supports an active lifestyle that complements a hands-on therapy career. You’ll enjoy a robust support network and the chance to experience iconic landscapes, from Lake Merritt and the Oakland waterfront to the Pacific coastline and Napa Valley’s scenic vistas. This is more than a job—it’s a doorway to growth, cultural enrichment, and the chance to broaden your clinical perspective through assignments that challenge, refine, and expand your expertise.

Role Specifics and Benefits: In this Travel Physical Therapist role, you’ll conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress toward functional goals. Your key responsibilities include assessing movement dysfunction, prescribing evidence-based exercises, administering manual therapy and modalities as appropriate, coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, documenting outcomes, and educating patients and families to sustain improvements at home. You’ll identify barriers to recovery, adapt plans for evolving clinical needs, and advocate for best practices that emphasize patient safety, fatigue management, and goal attainment. The role offers strong professional growth within the physical therapy specialty, with opportunities to deepen expertise in areas such as manual therapy techniques, gait and balance rehabilitation, post-surgical protocols, or pediatric and geriatric musculoskeletal care, depending on assignment. You’ll engage in ongoing learning through in-house programs, external courses, and mentorship, strengthening your clinical leadership as you progress.

Compelling benefits accompany the clinical responsibilities. You’ll receive competitive compensation with a weekly pay range of $2,539 to $2,761, aligned with experience and assignment specifics, and a guaranteed 40 hours per week to ensure financial stability. A sign-on or performance bonus is available, recognizing your commitment and contribution to patient outcomes. Housing assistance is provided to ease transition and housing-related expenses, helping you settle into a comfortable, convenient living situation near your assignment site. Additionally, extension opportunities give you the option to build longer-term continuity with departments you trust and enjoy, supporting career consistency and deeper professional relationships. The program delivers comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, ensuring you have reliable resources for travel logistics, clinical questions, and on-site challenges. Expect robust administrative support, access to credentialing guidance, and a streamlined process for rapid placement so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
