Introduction:
Step into a dynamic travel role as a Radiology Ultrasound Tech, delivering compassionate, precise imaging care across Illinois and beyond. In Carbondale, you’ll join a supportive imaging team that prizes clinical excellence, patient connection, and continual growth. Beginning on 12/23/2025 for a multi-week assignment, you’ll apply your ultrasound expertise to support high-volume diagnostic work while enjoying the variety and freedom that travel roles provide. This opportunity lets you make meaningful patient impact, sharpen your sonography skills, and thrive in a culture that values curiosity, teamwork, and resilience. As you explore the state’s natural beauty—from rolling timberlands to scenic parks—you’ll see how this region blends welcoming communities with opportunities to recharge, learn, and excel.

Location Benefits:
Carbondale sits in southern Illinois, where small-town warmth meets access to outdoor adventures and cultural experiences. You’ll benefit from a vibrant community, excellent amenities, and easy access to the Shawnee National Forest, Garden of the Gods, and Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge for weekend explorations. The assignment also opens doors to work in various locations across the U.S., offering exposure to diverse imaging environments, patient populations, and clinical protocols. As a Ultrasound Tech in radiology, you’ll perform high-quality ultrasound examinations—abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal—while maintaining patient safety and comfort. You’ll optimize images, adjust settings for clarity, perform appropriate measurements, and ensure meticulous documentation for radiologists and referring physicians. Collaboration is central: you’ll discuss findings with radiologists, assist with exam protocols, and contribute to timely, accurate diagnoses that influence patient care plans. You’ll manage equipment readiness, sterilization, supply inventory, and room turnover, while observing safety and infection control standards. The role offers clear pathways for professional growth through exposure to varied systems, cross-training opportunities, and potential extensions that align with your career goals. In addition to the competitive weekly pay of $2,999–$3,092, the package may include a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease transition. Our program supports extension opportunities, enabling longer engagements that foster deeper integration with teams and longer-term skill development. You’ll have 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team—reliable assistance whenever you’re on assignment, including onboarding, scheduling, and problem-solving—so you can focus on delivering exceptional imaging care. Expect comprehensive onboarding, ongoing clinical mentorship, and access to digital resources that promote best practices and confidence in every study you perform.
