Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care, where every shift is a chance to impact lives, uplift families, and champion dignified aging. In this LTC-focused assignment, you’ll bring clinical excellence, compassion, and leadership to residents in a setting that values continuity of care and meaningful connection. Picture yourself partnering with dedicated teams to promote comfort, safety, and wellness for seniors who have entrusted us with their daily lives. This role not only deepens your clinical expertise but also empowers you to influence best practices across a spectrum of long-term care environments. And as you answer the call to serve, you’ll be treated to the beauty and diversity of California’s landscapes—from the tranquil plains near Alturas to the majesty of the surrounding regions—alongside the possibility of expanding your horizons through assignments nationwide.
Alturas, California, sits in a region where small-town charm meets outdoor grandeur. Working here offers a community-first lifestyle, with close-knit teams and residents who appreciate the care you provide. Alturas is a gateway to exploring volcanic plateaus, alpine trails, and expansive skies, and the surrounding areas offer abundant opportunities to unwind after a shift—whether you’re hiking, fishing, or simply enjoying the crisp western air. The position also opens the door to placements at facilities across the United States, delivering a broad, enriching perspective on LTC practice and patient needs in diverse communities. This unique blend of intimate community support and the chance to explore the country is what makes this opportunity genuinely compelling for RNs who value both professional growth and personal discovery.
As an RN in LTC, your role centers on delivering high-quality, person-centered care for residents with chronic conditions, post-acute needs, and complex medication regimens. You’ll assess health status, identify risk factors, and lead the development and ongoing refinement of individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, social workers, and families. You’ll administer meds and treatments with precision, monitor responses, manage wounds and IV therapy as appropriate, and implement fall-prevention and safety protocols to uphold dignity and independence. Documentation is meticulous and timely, ensuring continuity of care and regulatory compliance. You’ll educate residents and caregivers on disease management, advance care planning, and self-care strategies, while also mentoring nursing aides and new staff. The guarantee of 36.0 hours weekly ensures you can plan your routine with confidence while still enjoying the flexibility needed for travel. This assignment starts on 01/13/2026 and spans several weeks, with potential extension opportunities based on performance, staffing needs, and resident care demands.
In appreciation of nursing excellence, this role comes with a robust benefits package designed to attract and retain exceptional professionals. Expect competitive weekly pay in the range of $2,202 to $2,358, reflecting your experience and the responsibilities of LTC practice in diverse facility settings. You’ll have housing assistance to ease the transition into new communities, a valuable bonus structure that recognizes your commitment, and extension opportunities that reward continuity and leadership. Beyond compensation, you’ll benefit from comprehensive support designed to keep you thriving while you travel, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated team ready to respond to housing, credentialing, shift changes, or clinical questions—anytime, anywhere. You’ll work within a culture that prioritizes evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing professional development, so you can advance your skills in wound care, geriatric assessment, palliative care, and complex medication management as you strengthen your LTC leadership capabilities.
Our company is rooted in empowering nursing professionals to grow within their careers while delivering outstanding patient care. We believe in fostering a supportive, inclusive environment where experienced RNs can mentor peers, elevate care standards, and pursue specialty certifications.
