Embark on a fulfilling journey as a Speech Language Pathologist in Utica, NY, where every session is an opportunity to unlock voice, language, and swallowing potential for patients across pediatric, adult, and rehabilitative care. This specialty role invites you to apply evidence-based practice, creative problem solving, and compassionate mentorship to help individuals communicate more clearly, participate more fully in school and work, and eat with confidence. Beginning January 19, 2026, you’ll join a team that values clinical excellence, ongoing learning, and the personal satisfaction that comes from making measurable differences in people’s lives. Beyond the clinic walls, New York’s upstate landscape invites exploration: rolling hills, historic towns, serene waterways, and vibrant cultural scenes—all within easy reach when you’re not on assignment.
Location Benefits:
Working in Utica places you in a community with robust health networks, easy access to hospitals, school districts, and outpatient clinics, and a collaborative culture that supports interdisciplinary care. The role may also offer the opportunity to work in multiple locations across the United States, broadening your professional horizons and exposing you to diverse patient populations, settings, and caseloads. You’ll gain experience across early intervention, school-based services, outpatient rehabilitation, and acute care environments, enriching your clinical toolbox while enjoying the authentic Upstate New York experience. Utica itself blends small-city charm with modern amenities, a thriving arts scene, excellent dining, and proximity to outdoor recreation—from the Adirondack foothills to scenic Mohawk Valley trails—which makes your downtime restorative and enriching.
Role Specifics and Benefits:
In this assignment, you’ll conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia assessments, interpret results, and implement individualized therapy plans with measurable goals. You’ll deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s age, culture, and learning style, track progress with standardized measures, and collaborate with families, teachers, physicians, and other therapists to ensure continuity of care. You’ll document outcomes, adjust treatment plans as needed, and contribute to program development by sharing best practices. The role offers pathways for professional growth in areas such as pediatric speech-language pathology, adult neurogenic communication disorders, and swallowing rehabilitation, with opportunities for mentorship, continuing education, and potential leadership responsibilities.
Benefits are designed to support you holistically: a competitive weekly pay range of $2,732-$2,919, with final compensation confirmed during the hiring process; a sign-on or retention bonus; housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary stay; and the possibility of contract extensions that align with your long-term goals. While the assignment lists 0.0 guaranteed hours, you’ll receive comprehensive scheduling support, transparent forecasting, and the option to tailor your weeks to your availability and the site’s needs.
