This is your opportunity to deliver transformative communication and swallowing care to diverse populations while exploring new communities and expanding your professional footprint. As you step into this role, you’ll not only impact patients and families through compassionate, evidence-based therapy, you’ll also experience the culture, scenery, and heritage of Massachusetts—beautiful landscapes, thriving arts scenes, and outdoor adventures that make every drive to a new site feel like an opportunity to recharge and refocus your clincial purpose. As a travel clinician, you also have the option to collaborate on assignments across the United States, experiencing diverse patient populations, school and clinical settings, and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll gain exposure to different caseloads, treatment modalities, and documentation workflows, enriching your clinical repertoire and sharpening your diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making. The region’s welcoming communities value your specialist skills in speech, language, and swallowing, and your presence contributes to a robust network of care that supports families, schools, and healthcare facilities. Expect a balance of professional challenge and personal enrichment, with opportunities to tailor your travel plan to fit your professional goals and lifestyle.
Role specifics and benefits: As a Speech-Language Pathologist on this assignment, you’ll conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret assessment data, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver targeted therapy to pediatric and adult clients with communication and/or swallowing disorders. You’ll implement evidence-based interventions across AAC, articulation, language, fluency, voice, and neurogenic communication domains, while coordinating with physicians, educators, and caregivers to optimize outcomes. Documentation, progress reporting, and outcome measurement are integral to your practice, along with family training and caregiver coaching to reinforce mastery of strategies in daily life. You’ll have the chance to mentor junior staff, participate in case conferences, and pursue specialty interests within the field, from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to early intervention to adult dysphagia management. This role supports professional growth through exposure to varied clinical settings, ongoing education, and potential for extension. Competitive compensation is complemented by a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the opportunity for contract extensions that align with your long-term career plans. You’ll receive comprehensive, 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team and clinical supervisors, ensuring you’re never alone on the road. Travel logistics—travel coordination, housing options, and on-call assistance—are designed to let you focus on delivering exceptional patient care while enjoying peace of mind. The assignment offers guaranteed hours of 40 per week, with a consistent weekly pay range of $2,585–$2,675, recognizing your expertise and dedication while enabling you to plan ahead and establish financial stability during the contract period.
