Glens Falls Hospital - AHSA
Mid Level
Seize the opportunity to lead and heal in the Cath Lab as a Registered Nurse in Glens Falls, New York. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to partner with interventional cardiology teams, guide patients through high-stakes procedures, and elevate your clinical expertise in a setting that blends precision, compassion, and innovation. As you help restore heart health, you’ll influence outcomes, learn new techniques, and grow into a key contributor in a fast-paced environment where every heartbeat matters. You’ll work alongside physicians and technologists who share your commitment to excellence, safety, and patient-centered care, while expanding your repertoire through hands-on experience with contemporary imaging, devices, and hemodynamic monitoring. Your impact will be felt not only in the cath lab, but across the entire patient journey—from pre-procedure education to post-procedure recovery.
New York’s beauty is the backdrop to your professional journey. Nestled in the Adirondack region, Glens Falls offers a welcoming community with easy access to outdoor adventures, scenic trails, and lake strolls that invite downtime after demanding shifts. From the tranquil shores of nearby Lake George to the cultural richness of the Hudson Valley, the state presents a diverse tapestry of experiences that enrich your life beyond the hospital walls.
Location Benefits: Glens Falls is a gateway to outdoor recreation and a connected healthcare community, where colleagues know your name and your expertise. The region offers efficient commutes, supportive networks, and opportunities to unwind amid forested landscapes and waterfronts. Role Specifics and Benefits: In this Cath Lab RN role, you will be integral to diagnostic and interventional procedures, assisting with coronary angiography, PCI, and other cardiology interventions under physician guidance. You’ll prepare and scrub for procedures, maintain sterile technique, and ensure the availability and functionality of essential equipment. During cases, you’ll monitor hemodynamics, assist with device manipulation, manage patient monitoring, and respond rapidly to any changes in patient status. Post-procedure care involves accurate documentation, patient education, and effective handoffs to the recovery team. Your leadership potential is recognized—this role offers a clear path for professional growth within interventional nursing, with opportunities to deepen expertise, pursue specialized certifications, and assume charge or lead nurse responsibilities on select shifts. We emphasize a comprehensive benefits package designed to attract and retain top Cath Lab talent, including a sign-on bonus, competitive weekly pay—ranging from $2,716 to $2,810—and housing assistance to ease relocation or short-term housing needs. You’ll also have the possibility of contract extensions, enabling continuity in high-performing teams and ongoing skill development.
