Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job

West Point, NE
Contracted
St. Joseph's Hillside Villa
Mid Level
Embark on a meaningful journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, where every shift is an opportunity to elevate the quality of life for residents and their families. This focused travel assignment begins on 01/12/2026 and unfolds across a series of weeks, inviting you to bring your clinical rigor, empathy, and collaborative spirit to diverse long‑term care environments. In this role you will translate care plans into compassionate, hands‑on support—monitoring health, easing daily routines, and championing residents’ dignity with every interaction. Picture the impact you’ll make day after day as you partner with interdisciplinary teams, advocate for comfort, and empower residents to maintain independence and peace of mind. And beyond the care you provide, you’ll experience the beauty of Nebraska—wide open skies, tranquil towns, and welcoming communities—making each week a balanced blend of professional purpose and personal refreshment.

Nebraska’s appeal sits at the heart of this opportunity, with West Point offering a tight‑knit community atmosphere that values every caregiver’s contribution. You’ll enjoy a supportive local network, fewer barriers to delivering patient‑centered care, and the chance to immerse yourself in a region known for its friendly neighborhoods and strong civic spirit. For those who crave variation, the assignment also presents the possibility to serve in multiple locations across the U.S., delivering exposure to different facility cultures, patient populations, and care models. This is your invitation to expand your professional horizons while enjoying the unique advantages of the Nebraska locale—the pace, the camaraderie, and the satisfaction of making a lasting difference close to home, and the thrill of discovering new places along the way.

In this role, you’ll own a broad spectrum of responsibilities that lie at the core of effective long‑term care. Key duties include providing direct patient care under supervision, administering medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring vitals and clinical status, assisting with activities of daily living, wound care and prevention, mobility support, and documentation that informs care plans. You’ll collaborate with RNs and other care teammates to execute comprehensive, person‑centered plans, identify subtle changes in condition, and communicate clearly with residents, families, and the broader care team. As you grow within the specialty, you’ll gain confidence in care coordination, transition planning, and geriatric best practices, with opportunities for continuing education and leadership development along the way. The role comes with competitive benefits designed to support your career trajectory, including a signing bonus, housing assistance, and the possibility of contract extensions to maximize continuity of care for residents and stability for you. You’ll also have access to extensive support, including 24/7 assistance from our travel program as you move between facilities, ensuring you’re never navigating a challenge alone.

Our commitment to your success goes beyond the bedside. The company values empowering your career, fostering a supportive work environment, and providing pathways to advancement within geriatrics and long‑term care. You’ll join a culture that prioritizes mentorship, reflective practice, and collaborative problem‑solving, with resources and networks that help you grow your skill set, expand your professional reputation, and realize your leadership potential. Whether your goal is to deepen clinical expertise or prepare for future supervisory roles, you’ll find encouragement, recognition, and meaningful opportunities to broaden your impact.

Ready to apply? This is your chance to join a dynamic team that respects your expertise, invests in your development, and helps you turn compassion into lasting care outcomes. If you’re a dedicated LPN seeking diverse clinical experiences, a supportive community, and a program that backs your growth, we want to hear from you. Begin your next chapter with us and make a difference where it truly matters—one patient at a time, one day at a time, across settings that celebrate your contribution and your professional journey.
