- Key responsibilities: pre-procedure patient assessment and consent, verification of allergies and medications, equipment setup and sterile technique, assisting the endoscopist during EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and related procedures, continuous patient monitoring including vital signs and anesthesia coordination, careful documentation, specimen handling, and post-procedure instructions with discharge planning and patient education. You’ll collaborate with anesthesiology teams, nurses, and support staff to maintain safety, efficiency, and patient comfort throughout the endoscopy process.
