Travel Sonographer Job

Lawton, OK
Contracted
Comanche County Memorial Hospital
Mid Level
Step into a rewarding role as a Sonographer in Lawton, Oklahoma, where your expertise translates into clearer diagnoses, calmer patients, and stronger outcomes. In this specialty, your precise imaging and compassionate communication become essential tools that guide clinicians and comfort families through challenging moments. This opportunity invites you to apply your ultrasound skills across diverse patient populations, push for imaging excellence, and grow within a supportive network that values your professional voice. Beyond the hospital walls, Oklahoma’s landscapes invite exploration—the open skies, the warm sunsets, and the foothills of the Wichita Mountains—providing balance and inspiration after a meaningful day in the lab.

Lawton offers a welcoming, family-friendly environment with a strong sense of community, affordable living, and abundant outdoor and cultural opportunities. The city sits near Fort Sill, which adds an additional layer of clinical collaboration and a dynamic healthcare ecosystem. The role also includes the option to take travel assignments across the United States, opening doors to a spectrum of facilities—from bustling metropolitan campuses to quieter community hospitals. Each placement brings new colleagues, different patient populations, and opportunities to sharpen your technique while savoring varied regional experiences, climates, and communities. As you move from site to site, you’ll gain exposure to a broad array of imaging equipment, protocols, and teamwork styles that broaden your professional perspective while maintaining the supportive feel you value.

Your responsibilities will center on performing high‑quality ultrasound studies across core areas—abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging—while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and privacy. You’ll refine imaging protocols, optimize study quality, and ensure accurate documentation and timely communication of results to radiologists and treating teams. The role invites ongoing professional growth through exposure to diverse cases, hands‑on mentoring, and access to continuing education resources that expand your capabilities and certifications. We offer competitive weekly compensation in the range of $2,023 to $2,071, with a sign‑on bonus and housing assistance to ease transitions. Assignments run for a defined number of weeks with extension opportunities, allowing you to broaden horizons while building a robust, diversified resume. You’ll also benefit from a comprehensive support network: 24/7 company‑provided assistance for travel logistics, housing setup, scheduling, and on‑call questions, so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care without getting bogged down by logistics.

Our partner company is committed to empowering staff—creating clear paths for career advancement, offering mentoring, skill‑building resources, and a collaborative, respectful workplace where your contributions are recognized. You’ll join teams that value open communication, patient‑centered care, safety, and a genuine commitment to work‑life harmony as you pursue ongoing credentials and leadership opportunities within the network. The culture is built on trust, integrity, and a shared goal: to equip you with the tools you need to grow while delivering the highest standard of imaging services to the communities you serve. In this environment, your voice matters, your expertise is leveraged, and your professional development is supported every step of the way.
