Step into a transformative opportunity as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, assigned to Montclair, New Jersey, with dynamic possibilities to work in select locations across the United States. Beginning 03/16/2026, you’ll join a skilled perioperative team for assignments measured in weeks, delivering meticulous, patient-centered care in fast-paced surgical environments. This role is designed for clinicians who thrive on precision, collaboration, and continual growth, offering you a platform to elevate your practice while making a meaningful difference for patients and families during some of their most critical moments. Enjoy competitive compensation with the clarity you deserve as you pursue excellence in every incision, suture, and sterile process.
Montclair’s appeal begins with a thriving, walkable community that blends culture, cuisine, and easy access to the energy of New York City. It’s a place where artful dining, outdoor spaces, historic neighborhoods, and strong educational resources meet modern professional opportunities. For those drawn to discovery, this role can also provide varied assignments at other locations across the U.S., offering the chance to experience different hospital cultures, patient populations, and surgical specialties under one umbrella program. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive support system, including a competitive bonus structure, housing assistance, and the opportunity to extend successful assignments. A dedicated team provides 24/7 assistance while you travel, ensuring you’re supported at every step—from onboarding through ongoing clinical and logistical needs.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the OR team, performing critical perioperative functions with expertise and compassion. Core responsibilities include circulating and scrub duties, maintaining a sterile field, coordinating instrument trays and equipment, verifying patient identity and procedure details, assisting with anesthesia communication, and ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety throughout pre-op, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia recovery phases. You’ll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative personnel to anticipate needs, adapt to varied surgeon preferences, and uphold the highest standards of asepsis, patient advocacy, and quality improvement. The position also presents ongoing opportunities for professional growth within the specialty—whether expanding leadership capabilities, refining specialty skills, or pursuing certifications that position you for expanded responsibilities on future assignments. The program is designed to recognize expertise and dedication, with pathways for extended contracts and career progression across the broader surgical services network.
The package includes attractive benefits that reflect the value of your expertise: a robust weekly pay range of $2,115-$2,183, with assignment opportunities that are measured in weeks and flexible scheduling to match clinical demand and personal goals. While hours and pay are estimated and may vary, the structure is designed to reward your proficiency and commitment. You’ll have access to a sign-on-type bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary housing burdens, and extension opportunities if you find a setting that resonates with your professional trajectory. In addition, you’ll receive strong, ongoing support from a travel-focused care team, with 24/7 assistance as you navigate different facilities, patient populations, and states. The program is built to minimize administrative friction and maximize your clinical impact, so you can focus on delivering outstanding perioperative care.
