Role specifics and benefits:
- Key responsibilities: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, implement and titrate a range of respiratory therapies, and deliver ventilation support including weaning and extubation under physician direction. You’ll perform arterial blood gas sampling, interpret results, adjust therapies, and ensure safe operation of all respiratory equipment. You’ll educate patients and families about respiratory care plans, participate in rounds and treatment teams, document thoroughly, and uphold infection control practices. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and therapists will be central to delivering cohesive, high-quality care, along with participating in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
