York, ME
Contracted
York Hospital
Mid Level
Take your ER nursing expertise to new horizons as a travel RN in York, Maine. This Emergency Department role is crafted for skilled professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, deliver calm under pressure, and guide patients with compassionate care. Beginning on 01/12/2026, you’ll step into a contract that guarantees 36 hours per week, with weekly compensation ranging from $1,941 to $2,033, and the opportunity to extend based on unit needs and performance. This assignment not only sharpens your clinical acumen but also broadens your professional network across diverse hospital settings across the U.S. You’ll work with supportive teams that value initiative, precision, and teamwork, all while enjoying the stability of a well-structured travel opportunity designed to elevate your practice and your lifestyle.
York offers coastal Maine living at its finest—the historic streets, scenic shoreline, fresh seafood, and a sense of small-town charm within reach of larger cities. You’ll work in a community that values quality nursing and patient-centered care, with access to outdoor recreation, beaches, and cultural events. The geographic footprint of our travel program lets you explore other Maine sites or rotate to facilities in other states, expanding your experience while keeping a steady base in the Northeast. Even when you’re on assignment, you’ll enjoy the safety, support, and welcoming environment that Maine communities are known for, along with the flexibility of a travel schedule that respects your personal goals. This is a chance to experience a region celebrated for its natural beauty, strong healthcare networks, and a culture that supports professional pride and personal balance.
Your role in the ER will center on critical assessment and rapid intervention. Typical responsibilities include triage, initial patient evaluation, establishing priorities, addressing airway, breathing, and circulation concerns, administering medications and IVs, drawing labs, initiating treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians, PAs and fellow nurses. You’ll lead patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals, with opportunities to refine ultrasound applications, trauma protocols, and evidence-based care in a bustling environment. The assignment supports professional growth through access to continuing education opportunities, cross-training in trauma response, and potential for expanded roles as you demonstrate leadership within dynamic teams. We recognize excellence with competitive compensation, including a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the chance to extend your contract with consistent shifts. You’ll have guaranteed hours (36 per week) and the opportunity to accrue meaningful hospital-based experience across a spectrum of patient populations. Our program also emphasizes comprehensive support—24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, a dedicated clinical educator team, and a nurse liaison who ensures you have the resources you need, when you need them.
Our company is rooted in empowering healthcare professionals to grow within their specialty while maintaining balance and well-being. We’re committed to nurturing career advancement through mentorship, clear pathways to leadership roles, and a culture of respect and teamwork. You’ll join a community that values your expertise, listens to your ideas, and provides ongoing support—from onboarding to ongoing education—so you can deliver outstanding care and build a long-term, fulfilling nursing career. Everything you bring—your clinical judgment, compassion, and drive for excellence—will be met with resources, recognition, and opportunities, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way as you navigate assignments across the country.
