State College, PA
Contracted
Mount Nittany Health
Mid Level
Seize the chance to advance as an Outpatient Registered Nurse in State College, Pennsylvania, where compassionate care meets a dynamic, patient-centered setting. In this role, you will be at the forefront of outpatient clinics, guiding patients through screening, triage, treatment coordination, and education that empowers families to manage health with confidence. From fast-paced afternoons to calmer mornings, your expertise will help streamline care delivery, improve access, and reduce unnecessary visits, all while building meaningful connections with patients across diverse ages and backgrounds. Starting March 23, 2026, you’ll join a team that values precision, empathy, and continuous learning. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to shape outcomes in outpatient settings while avoiding the constraints of a single-site schedule. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the scenic landscapes of Pennsylvania, from the rolling terrain around State College to nearby state parks and countryside that invite exploration during days off.

State College and central Pennsylvania offer a blend of college-town energy, outdoor recreation, and cultural richness, with easy access to hiking, biking trails, craft beer, farm-to-table dining, and a thriving arts scene anchored by Penn State. The area is safe, walkable, and welcoming to professionals who value balance. There’s also the option, within our travel program, to work in different locations across the United States, giving you the chance to broaden your clinical experience, build a robust professional network, and experience new communities while maintaining support and continuity through our dedicated team.

Core responsibilities include: assessing patients in outpatient clinics, performing efficient triage by phone and in person, coordinating diagnostic testing, preparing and assisting with procedures as appropriate, and delivering education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. You’ll support shared decision making, document meticulously in electronic health records, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. There’s opportunity for professional growth through exposure to varied case mixes, mentorship from experienced clinicians, specialized certifications, and cross-training within outpatient specialties. We offer a competitive weekly pay range of $1,976 to $2,138, aligned with your experience and location, along with a sign-on incentive and housing assistance to ease transitions. Contract lengths are flexible and designed to accommodate your preferences, with extension opportunities to continue in high-demand settings or to explore new assignments within the network. While travel assignments are inherently dynamic, our program supports clear schedules, timely pay, and predictable workflows wherever you go.

From day one, you’re never alone. Our travel-focused team provides 24/7 support, ready to assist with onboarding, shift coordination, credentialing, lodging, and any on-the-ground needs that arise during your assignment. We streamline licensing, credential verification, and access to comprehensive benefits that help you protect your health, your finances, and your professional future. As you encounter diverse clinical teams, you’ll develop leadership, communication, and adaptability skills that translate into more senior roles and expanded responsibilities over time.

At the core, the company is committed to empowering staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and fostering a supportive environment where nurses can thrive. We value your contributions and invest in your career through ongoing education support, opportunities to lead care transitions, and a collegial network of peers and mentors who celebrate success together. We understand that your expertise deserves to be recognized with fair compensation, clear advancement paths, and a work-life balance that sustains your passion for patient care.
