This opportunity places you at the forefront of obstetric care, where skilled assessment, rapid decision-making, and a comforting presence meet advanced clinical support. You will partner with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatrics, and nursing teams to deliver holistic care—from early labor through delivery and immediate postpartum support—ensuring the safest, most compassionate experience for mothers and babies. Your expertise will guide pain management, fetal monitoring, labor progression, and emergency response, while your reassuring communication helps families feel heard, informed, and empowered during one of life’s most meaningful events. This assignment begins January 26, 2026, and runs for a duration of weeks, with guaranteed hours and ongoing opportunities to extend based on performance and needs. Georgia’s charm accompanies your professional journey, providing a backdrop of scenic beauty and vibrant communities that support a healthy work-life rhythm.

Location Benefits: Cumming sits within easy reach of the dynamic Atlanta metro area, offering a blend of suburban comfort and city-accessible culture. You’ll enjoy a community-oriented environment, excellent schools, and a favorable cost of living that makes it easier to settle into the region. Beyond the local benefits, this role also opens the door to experiences across the United States, as assignments may occur in diverse hospital settings—from thriving metropolitan centers to smaller, community-based facilities. The breadth of locations allows you to expand your clinical repertoire, collaborate with varied teams, and gain exposure to different birth practices, patient demographics, and care models. In Georgia, you’ll experience mild winters, abundant sunshine, and a range of recreational options—from hiking and water activities to family-friendly events—creating a well-rounded lifestyle to complement your professional tempo.

Role Specifics and Benefits: As an L&D RN, you’ll lead and support obstetric care across labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Core responsibilities include monitoring labor progress and fetal well-being, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, providing anesthesia and analgesia support in collaboration with the anesthesia team, performing newborn assessments, initiating resuscitation as needed, and delivering lactation support and parental education. You will participate in high-stakes decision-making, contribute to safety protocols, and advocate for evidence-based practices that improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. The role offers strong opportunities for professional growth: pursue advanced certifications (such as NRP, ACLS, and lactation support credentials), engage in unit-based quality improvement projects, and gain exposure to complex obstetric cases that enhance your clinical leadership. Our contract packages are designed to be competitive and supportive, featuring a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions based on performance and unit needs. You’ll receive comprehensive 24/7 support from dedicated travel counterparts and clinical leaders who are available to assist you around the clock as you travel between assignments. You’ll enjoy a guaranteed 36.0 hours per week, with compensation in a competitive range of $1,651 to $1,750 per week, reflecting your expertise and the value you bring to the team.
