Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery in Aspen, Colorado. In this pivotal role, you’ll stand beside families at one of life’s most meaningful moments, delivering expert clinical care with compassion, precision, and grace. Imagine guiding labor progress, facilitating safe deliveries, and providing evidence-based postpartum support, all while immersed in a breathtaking mountain setting that invites balance, renewal, and adventure. This opportunity blends the distinctive allure of Aspen’s alpine charm with the dynamic experiences of travel nursing across the United States, empowering you to make a meaningful impact wherever your career takes you.
Aspen is a jewel of Colorado, renowned for its crisp mountain air, world-class skiing, hiking, festivals, and a vibrant cultural scene. Working here means more than a shift; it’s a lifestyle defined by outdoor discovery, top-tier healthcare teammates, and a community that appreciates your expertise. When you’re ready to broaden your horizons, this role also opens doors to assignments in diverse locations nationwide, offering professional growth while expanding your professional network and clinical repertoire. You’ll experience the advantages of living in a renowned resort town while maintaining the flexibility to explore other remarkable communities as your career evolves.
In this Labor & Delivery nursing role, you’ll be at the center of perinatal care. Core responsibilities include monitoring labor patterns and fetal well-being, managing pain and comfort during labor, assisting with vaginal births and cesarean deliveries when indicated, and providing comprehensive postpartum support to new families. You’ll participate in high-acuity obstetric scenarios with quick, evidence-based decision-making, collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal teams, and lactation consultants, and ensure meticulous documentation and compliance with safety standards. There’s ample opportunity for professional growth within the L&D specialty—from advancing your obstetric assessment and neonatal resuscitation skills to pursuing specialty certifications and leadership roles as you gain experience. The role also emphasizes patient education—guiding families through labor expectations, newborn care, and recovery plans to set families up for success at home.
Compensation and benefits are designed to recognize your expertise and commitment. Weekly pay ranges from $3,181 to $3,317, reflecting the demanding and rewarding nature of this specialty. A competitive benefits package is available, including a sign-on or completion bonus, housing assistance or stipends to help you settle comfortably in Aspen, and extension opportunities that allow you to extend your assignment based on mutual needs and performance. This position emphasizes flexibility, with a start date of February 23, 2026, and a duration stated in weeks, enabling you to tailor your travel schedule to your personal and professional goals. While there are no guaranteed hours, you’ll have access to a robust framework of scheduling options and predictability through American healthcare travel programs. You’ll also benefit from ongoing professional development resources, access to clinical mentors, and opportunities to participate in rotations that broaden your experience beyond a single facility.
A cornerstone of this opportunity is comprehensive support. The organization provides 24/7 assistance and a dedicated support team to guide you through every phase of travel nursing—from onboarding and housing logistics to clinic integration and on-the-ground clinical support. This support ensures you can focus on clinical excellence and patient connection, knowing that help is available whenever you need it. The combination of stable guidance, a strong clinical network, and a clear path for extension builds a sustainable framework for your career in perinatal care. You’ll be part of a culture that values your voice, respects your expertise, and continuously invests in your professional development.
Company values emphasize empowerment, learning, and a supportive work environment. The organization is committed to advancing your career through ongoing education, access to high-quality preceptorship, leadership opportunities, and a collaborative team culture that prioritizes patient-centered care and clinician well-being. You’ll join colleagues who value empathy, clinical excellence, and the resilience required to thrive in fast-paced obstetric settings. The company recognizes that your growth strengthens the entire care team, and they actively foster environments where you can achieve personal and professional milestones.
If you’re ready to elevate your L&D nursing career, this role invites you to apply and discover a fulfilling path that blends exceptional clinical practice with the beauty and vitality of Aspen. It’s a chance to contribute to families during pivotal moments, expand your expertise across locations, and enjoy the support of a forward-thinking organization that champions your advancement.
