Travel Physical Therapist Job
Waldorf, MD
Contracted
Waldorf Center
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Physical Therapist in Maryland, Waldorf, where your expertise can restore mobility, reduce pain, and empower patients to reclaim independence. In this role, you’ll blend evidence-based practice with compassionate care, guiding individuals through rehabilitation after surgery, injury, or illness and helping communities return to everyday life with confidence. Maryland’s landscape complements your calling—where the Chesapeake Bay paints sunsets, Annapolis’s historic charm invites curiosity, and vibrant urban centers are within reach for weekend explorations. From quiet river towns to thriving neighborhoods, this assignment offers a backdrop that nourishes both professional growth and personal well-being as you make an impact one patient at a time. Beyond Waldorf, the state’s natural beauty—from the calm of the Magothy River to the trails of the C&O Canal—offers restorative escapes after a rewarding day on the floor.
Location Benefits: You’ll work in Waldorf, a dynamic community with convenient access to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, while partnering with multidisciplinary teams that value mobility, function, and independence. The assignment is designed with flexibility to open doors to locations across the United States, enabling you to experience diverse practice settings, patient populations, and treatment modalities. You’ll gain exposure to inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff who share a commitment to evidence-based care. The experience strengthens clinical decision-making, documentation accuracy, and patient education, while expanding your professional network across urban and rural settings. And for those who crave variety, extension opportunities and the chance to continue serving communities nationwide await at the end of each project.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Physical Therapist in this role, you’ll evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, design individualized rehab plans, implement therapeutic interventions, and monitor progress toward functional goals. Expect to lead gait training, balance and strength programs, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise progression, and assistive device recommendations, while coordinating with physicians and care teams to ensure seamless transitions across settings. You'll document outcomes and adjust plans to optimize recovery, education, and prevention. Starting 04/13/2026, this assignment runs for several weeks, with a consistent structure designed to support your professional growth. Growth is a core part of this opportunity; you’ll have access to specialty tracks, mentorship, and continuing education that align with your interests—orthopedic, neurorehabilitation, pediatrics, or geriatric care. The package includes competitive compensation with a weekly pay range of 2,475 to 2,603 dollars, with 35 guaranteed hours per week, so you can plan your schedule with confidence. In addition to housing assistance and a bonus program, there are extension opportunities that allow you to extend your impact and build long-term relationships with communities you serve. Comprehensive support is provided 24/7 while you’re traveling with the company, including onboarding, credentialing help, and a dedicated concierge team to troubleshoot housing, travel, and local logistics. Please note that the hours and pay listed are estimates; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
Company Values: Our organization is built on empowering clinicians, promoting career advancement, and cultivating a supportive, inclusive environment where your voice matters. We invest in your professional growth through structured mentorship, access to evidence-based resources, and opportunities to contribute to program development. Whether you’re collaborating with a seasoned therapist or leading patient education initiatives, you’ll find a culture that recognizes your expertise and respects your work-life balance.
