Travel Radiology Special Procedures Tech Job

Burlington, VT
Contracted
University of Vermont Medical Center- UVMMC
Mid Level
Embark on a specialized radiology journey as a Special Procedures Tech, where precision meets compassion in the fast paced world of interventional care. Starting 01/12/2026 for an initial multi-week assignment with extension opportunities, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding transformative procedures—from catheter-based therapies to complex image-guided interventions—that ease patient journeys and expand treatment possibilities. This isn’t just a contract; it’s a chance to deepen your expertise, collaborate with top radiologists, and impact countless lives as you refine techniques that blend anatomy, imaging, and patient care. And beyond the hospital walls, Vermont’s natural beauty awaits—acclaimed fall colors, stunning lake views on Lake Champlain, the Green Mountains, and vibrant outdoor culture that makes every day feel energized and restorative.

Location Benefits: Vermont offers a balanced lifestyle where professional growth meets outdoor adventure. Burlington’s thriving medical community supports ongoing education and cross specialty collaboration while presenting you with exposure to a broad spectrum of cases. If you crave change, the role also offers possibilities to work across multiple facilities nationwide, letting you experience new clinics, equipment platforms, and patient populations while staying rooted in the scenic Northeast. In this environment, you’ll find generous access to community programs, arts, farmers markets, and a quality of life that keeps you refreshed for the challenges of specialty care.

Role Specifics and Benefits: In your day to day as a Special Procedures Tech, you’ll assist radiologists during intricate interventional procedures, pre-screen patients, position and prep for interventions, monitor vital signs, and ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and radiation safety protocols. You’ll manage advanced imaging equipment, perform quality checks, document procedural data, and help with post-procedure care and patient transfer. The role offers clear pathways for professional growth—training on the latest catheter devices, advanced imaging modalities, and cross training in related vascular and oncologic procedures. We offer a competitive weekly pay range of $2,497 to $2,607, with additional incentives such as a sign-on or performance bonus, depending on assignment and location. Housing assistance is provided to ease relocation concerns, and extension opportunities let you lengthen a successful assignment to deepen your expertise and enhance continuity of care. The company’s travel program includes 24/7 support while you’re on assignments, ensuring you have reliable help whenever you need it, anywhere you travel across the United States.

Company Values: Our organization is built on empowering every staff member to advance their careers within a supportive, collaborative culture. We’re committed to helping you grow—from onboarding and hands on mentorship to structured continuing education and leadership pathways. You’ll find a respectful, inclusive environment that recognizes your contributions, celebrates your strengths, and partners with you to achieve work life balance while delivering world class patient care.

Call to Action: If you’re ready to elevate your practice, apply now and join a team that values your clinical judgment, your curiosity, and your dedication to patient welfare. This role is a dynamic intersection of specialized skill, compassionate care, and opportunity—perfect for a Radiology professional ready to mentor others, broaden your scope, and make meaningful differences in Vermont and beyond.
