California offers restorative escapes and weekend adventures that recharge your energy and deepen your sense of purpose in newborn care. Start date is 12/29/2025, with a duration measured in weeks, and you’ll know the exact schedule as you connect with the team. Note that guaranteed hours are not a fixed guarantee in this program, giving you flexibility aligned with the facility’s needs and your availability.

The position also offers the possibility of rotating through partner hospitals in California or neighboring states as needed, expanding your NICU exposure and reinforcing your expertise while maintaining work–life balance in a stunning, diverse region.

Role specifics and benefits: You’ll lead comprehensive NICU care, including monitoring vital signs, ventilator and respiratory support coordination, administration of medications and nutrition, line management, infection control, thermoregulation, and the application of evidence-based developmental care to support neurological and physical outcomes. You’ll participate in rounds with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams, contribute to care plans, and educate families to reinforce continuity of care after discharge. The role provides robust pathways for professional growth, with ongoing access to NICU-specific certifications, mentorship, and exposure to advanced procedures such as high-frequency ventilation, surfactant administration, and ECMO considerations where applicable. Competitive benefits include a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions, delivering both immediate value and long-term flexibility as your career evolves. We also provide comprehensive support for traveling nurses, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated travel team, streamlined onboarding, and resources to ease licensing, housing, and relocation logistics. Compensation is structured with weekly pay in the range of $2,021 to $2,096, and the assignment is scheduled to begin on 12/29/2025; durations are measured in weeks, with no hard guaranteed hours, allowing you to align opportunity with personal and professional priorities.
